my friend told me about this yesterday. Its incredibly screwed up, and the best part of it all is the end line of that article: "Alas, they went with the shady route — and now they’ve gone and given OnLive far more marketing than that silly coupon ever would have."

I totally believe that this kind of stuff is uncalled for. Gaming consumers spend so much money annually that it sickens me to find companies constantly trying to find a way to gouge and undercut them at every turn. I was a huge proponent of GameStop until I read this. I've always like the convenience of going there instead of Wally World for new games and I really like the ability to trade in my old games for others.

I have been a member of PaperbackSwap for years and I will be using their counterpart for games from now on instead of GameStop for used games after reading this article. As for new games, I would rather pay more by buying them on the internet via Wally World or Amazon than give my money to a company that pulls this kind of crap.

lawl i preorderd the new LotR game and the code came free with so i got the game for free with their service :) but ya thats really bad of gamestop.
