It never really goes into detail about what their relationship is.
Like are they siblings....? Who knows they could be with how much the quarrel.
Are they lovers...?
Did they just get stuck together by their boss?
I need help figuring this out....
And I know I am not the only one that questions this.....

And How the heck has Ash not aged a single day. I mean come on, they do everything together. But wait, they can't have any romance in this series, because it's not meant for that kind of audience. To me, pokemon will remain, a childhood memory, long long ago, in a far away time... not judging or anything, everyone has their own tastes.

Umm, aren't the episodes online too? via streaming or bit-torrent. But I would imagine yes, he still does. It just got old for me. He let butterfly go get in on with the lady butterfly, to raise a "family" of their own. He gave squrtel the Turtle pokemon to the police chick. He let Charizard be with his own kind on that mountain. and the list goes on and on. For someone wanting to be the best, he's, how shall I say, hmmm Ah, I know DUMB AS #$%k . You need strong pokemon to be the best. And what's his number one love child, PIKACHU! the one who can't even evolve. Hell, there is the classic peter pan right there in that example, "I Don't Want To Grow Up". Oh man, I can't say how much I dislike this show now...... And as I said before, This is my view on it. If You like pokemon, thats cool. Me, not so much.

I keep forgetting that in the american version they are called team rocket. In the japanese version they are referred to as the rocket gang.

But I happen to agree with you OP, they seem REALLY close, especially if you're a nerd like me and watch the japanese version of the show.
