So if you use AVG antivirus you probably know that its not going to be free much longer. Insert new free antivirus program:

I'll be happy to pay Grisoft for my AVG now. I've used their product for sooo long it's about time I ponied up the cash to support them.

Its still going to be free. The pop up that comesup saying your version of AVG free will run out jan 1st is because they are putting up a new version of it. Atleast to my knowledge that is what is being done.

From what i have read it WILL cost money. Basically they are getting rid of the free version. Which i don't like because i love AVG. Norton and Mcafee are just to big of programs and just install so much crap.

Bleh oh well.

Darn. I was just thinking of installing AVG for a bit just b/c it is free, then I can renew my anti-virus (TrendMicro) after Christmas. I guess I'll have to try something else then...

I use something called AntiVir, which is pretty good and gives you quick scans with good disposal options. Have to use it because I need something that doesn't hike my ping up like McAfee used to, and it hasn't failed me yet. :)
