Hey everyone I have been thinking of buying a gaming headset like an Astro. And wanted to know what everyone thinks? Are astro's worth it? or is there a better alternative to Astro's. Thanks and it would be for xbox, Gow and halo. Thanks

PMS SniperPony and myself use Astro A30s and definitely think they are worth the cost.

From what I know, the main difference is price and size.. A30's are meant to be more mobile so if you're looking for something to use to listen to music too, then they'd probably be the better choice.
I'd probably go with the A40's if you have the extra money.
I was thinking about getting A40's but I don't know if I want to spend that much money on a headset haha

Actually, reviews between the two show the A30 with a higher score, which is why we chose them. The A30 headsets actually have the better bass between the two.
Other than that, the way it fits on your ear is the biggest difference. I see no reason to invest the extra money into the A40s. I believe it was IGN that had reviews for both of them, and they go into good detail.
I would read how they fit onto your ear and see which one sounds like it would be more comfortable.

Alright and one last question on the Astro's website there all that side stuff to add. Do i need to buy any of that? or is that just to make you feel special? Like i'm going to use it to play games with and hopefully go to some kind of event with them

When you buy the kit it comes with everything you need. The headset and the MixAmp come together with the necessary wires.
