Dazzle issues

Just bought a dazzle dvc 100.

Initially it would only record in black and white, but have fixed that issue, my remaining issues are that its choppy and i can't get the sound to work (so looks like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Fx3vYGYAnI&feature=share))

does anyone know how to solve this?

What version of Pinnacle Studio are you using? If 12.. check http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRlXTyIyltM&feature=related if not I'm sure you can find best quality settings on utube.

Already got the splitters, it didn't come with pinnacle studio it came with the pinnacle dvd recorder :s

so currently using windows movie maker to cap it, using amcap to change the settings to make it colour, and then editing in camtasia (for montages)

I have pinnacle studio 11 you can have for nout. I got it years back when i had a dazzle but i have no use for it now.

Will that mean I can have sound and not have to mess with everything everytime I want to stop recording then start again lol.

It's what came with my dazzle, it should fix things for ya. Just dm me the place you want it sent too, I'll send it out in the week.

You should get a PVR instead if you're going to record alot. My friends (4, who owned one) had a dazzle and it was more of a pain then success. Roxio - Game Capture, $99 and sounds/graphic is pretty good. Second option if you can't buy a PVR. Way better choice then the Dazzle.

Agreed, but if you're on a budget. I had a dazzle back in 08 :P used it for years, but finally saved up for a pvr.

Hey boy, I had the same issues with mine. The first few times a used it, it did great, but then it started to drop frames like crazy. After getting no support from the Dazzle support site. I ended up returning it and getting a Roxio. It is a better set up and I have had no issues with frames dropping or audio issues. The price is comparable to the Dazzle. The support is great on the Roxio website as well. But here are a few troubleshooting tips you can try. Make sure your graphics and audio components are up to date. Make sure your OS has received all current updates. Then you may want to uninstall and reinstall with your firewall disabled. Make sure you have at least 2 GB of RAM available and then try try again =)
