So I thought I was ahead this whole game till he dropped me, from there I panic and lost a lot of scvs then downfall from there. I lack control, and my macro is fair. Can someone view this replay (someone with tvt experience) and give me some advice as in what to do in x situation or if i didnt have enough x amount of buildings. Pretty much all the help i can get is appeciated.

o i handle drops with the f keys like the camera keys i make a camera thing at each of my expos so like my main is f2, my nat is f3, so like they drop my main i click f2 box erry thing click f3 super quick, and my rally point is f1 so i click f1 box mah stuff and go defend drop

Well from what i can say to you for sure from that replay is that you overextended yourself, trying to grab 4 expos while not having enough units to defend it. Your opponent had tech advantage, and those vikings of yours weren't doing much O.o btw banshees are so underplayed in late game tvt i think....4 banshees would clean all those tanks :D

the 3rd expo timing was good id say cause i had those tanks to defend, the 4th expo timing was desperation cause i lost my main + scvs. It was my only way to catch up.

gah i need to organize my controls. I was panic-mode most of that game >.<

I've been meaning to check out this replay for a while, but just got some time tonight. I think the main turning point of the game was his drop (which you already seemed to have identified). Up to that point, you were in control in the middle of the map and you had a great third timing. If he didn't drop, I think you would have stayed in the lead and won the game. So, the big thing to focus on from that game would be drop prevention. But again, it seems like you already have a solution planned (f keys). =)

A small thing I noticed was in the final or close to last engagement around the 19:00 mark, you didn't have the best tank spread or utilize your vikings. I think if you would have had a better line and used your vikings for sight earlier, that would have helped in that engagement. Although, I think you may still have lost thanks to his higher econ previous to that point.

Those are just my two cents. I don't think you did anything drastically wrong build order or macro/control wise. TvT is a really positional MU and in my opinion, positioning usually decides the games. Securing locations with tanks and using drops to hit areas where the opponent doesn't have an army and/or pull him away from his position are important. That's maybe too broad of a generalization, but I find that's where most of my TvT losses come from.

I think you have a pretty good handle on analysis of replays tho it seems. =)

I'd recommend watching the link I posted. You'll soon realize when builds are safe or not, and if you're not scouting it right, then you'll be throwing away your wins.

Thanks wonderbread, I appreciate it! I just needed an 2nd opinion on the game to see what I can do better or be doing wrong.
