"The Rocks" - Rockets launcher in Halo2.
"Bring a baggie fo ya teef - You just got assassinated.
"Boomstick" - Shotgun
"Blue Screen FunnyBunnyFunnyBunnyFunnyBunnyFunnyBunnyFunnyBunny es" - Quitters.
"No-scoped" - A single shot sniper kill without the use of sights or a scope.
These terms have no place in this article since they are ONLY found in Halo.

Too many halo terms. It's not supposed to be an article about Halo smack talk. It's an article about general smack talk terms, so terms like "the rocks," "Blue screen Bi..."and "boomstick" shouldn't be there since they are Halo specific.
Someone that's never played Halo doesn't know what a blue screen or a boomstick is, so it's meaningless to them. The quality of the article suffers because of it.

Dude, it's ment to be a laid back funny (random) article, quality suffers?? i mean come on! Everyone who plays xbl has played Halo one time or another
And so what if there is a small percentage that don't know wot those terms mean?? They won't care, and the explanation is with it... I mean i've never heard off 'Kekeke' or 'Suxxor'. I know what they mean now with the explanation but have never heard sumone use it ever
So chill out :D

Actually I know many that have never played halo.
And so what if a small percentage of people don't know what the tems mean? Well the article is supposed to be about generic terms. How are terms only used in one game generic? They aren't, so they shouldn't be in a article about general terms.
But I guess every english teacher I've ever had was wrong.

Because it's not supposed to be an article about Halo 2 ;)

Actually sum of the terms u claim to be 'only Halo 2 terms' i (& other ppl) use in other games to...
Ex: No scope, Rocks
I play Halo a lot and i've never even heard of this one: 'Bring a baggie fo ya teef'
Sooo... if you think about it, it's not that bad, and there aren't to many 'only H2 terms' init.

Look at the defintion of "bring a baggie.." no other game has assassinations ;)
Halo 2 terms used in other games are only used by Halo 2 players, so it's still a halo 2 specific term.
"The Rocks" - Rockets launcher in Halo2.
Halo 2 specific
"No-scoped" - A single shot sniper kill without the use of sights or a scope. Only thought to be a great acomplishment in Halo. The only person that will make a big deal about it in any other game is a halo 2 player. Anyone else just considers is a lucky break and doesn't make a really big deal about it except maybe a "you lucky b****! I had you!" So it's Halo specific.
The Halo 2 terms aren't the only ones that shouldn't be there. "Muahahaha" shouldn't be there either, since it's not even a smack talk term.
The article is pretty lame, and is plagued by the MTV of video games; Halo.

Ummm No-Scope is not used in just Halo 2. and Halo 2 is not the only game it is ever mentioned in during multiplayer. You admitted it yourself. Therefor it's not Halo specific. In fact the term No-scope was used before Halo 2 even came out.
Boomstick for the shotgun is NOT a Halo 2 term only infact this term originated from that one movie The Evil Dead or something like that and it is far from Halo 2- specific.
Again Rocks are used in other games even though they have defined it wrong. Let's keep in mind they gathered these terms and definitions from A group of players.
Halo 2 is not the only game you can assassinate someone, Ever played Splinter Cell? I'm pretty sure the spies assassinate in that.
I fail to see why they FunnyBunnyFunnyBunnyFunnyBunnyFunnyBunny talking terms matter from what game they are used in? Frankly Halo 2 probably has the biggest congregation of FunnyBunnyFunnyBunnyFunnyBunnyFunnyBunny-talkers anyways so it's only natural for a lot of the words to be found in it.

I meantioned it's used in other games, but ONLY by halo 2 players. Like I said everyone else could care less that you no scoped someone and consider it pure luck , so they don't use the term. If you go to spain and use an english term, it's not magically a spannish term. If a Halo 2 player goes over to another game and uses a halo 2 term, it doesn't change the fact that it's still a halo 2 term. unless it catches on and it becomes more widely used, but I doubt that would happen. Like I said; with the exception of halo 2 players, no one cares about "no scoping."
Rocks. I've heard rocket launchers called everything BUT "rocks" in games that have them. Other than Halo of course.
In splinter cell you "assissinate" people by breaking their necks, but it's not called assassination. It's simply breaking someone's neck. Besides, as far as I know your teeth don't fall out when you get your neck broken. Someone saying "bring a baggie for your teeth" would make no sense, and so it is not used in Splinter Cell.
It matters because it's a general article. Either keep it general or make it about a specific game. You can't do both without the quality suffering. It would have been fine to write about terms used in specific games, if he used terms from other games too.
I found it a very poor read considering he's supposed to be a "professional". You don't think so because you're giddy at the mention of halo 2.
EDIT: fixed some typos

Ah still i found them funny. I do agree with you though Dex. No-Scoping however is found and talked about in CS aswell though.
Still it is only abundant in Halo2. Mostly because you can get good at it. Hell I remember when I used to shout about no-scoping someone. Then I began to do it too often. Basically I did it enough that it stopped being something special.
CS I would rejoice for it though. Mainly because I suck at that game and instead of just losing the auto-aim for the sniper it loses the whole crosshair when you aren't zoomed in.
Ah ohwell.

It's not that I'm giddy about Halo 2 it's that you've spawned such a hatred for the game that whenever it gets some spotlight you are upset and need to protest.
The bring a baggie term I don't think I've ever even heard used in any game.
Just because you specifically have not heard Rocks used in any other game doesn't mean it's not.
As for the no-scoping, gaviteros just proved my point, I played CS before Halo 2 and no scoping was used in that before Halo 2 even came out.
Honestly I found the article a little dumb no matter where the references were from.

I might have a hatred for Halo 2, and protest when it gets spotlight. That's only because it's spotlight it doesn't deserve.
Any company that puts out downloadable content, charges people for it, and then finds it's defective, but doesn't issue any refund of anykind nor fix their product for months doesn't deserve any spotlight in my opinion. They charged for the maps they put out they were defective (the modder problem). People who paid for them couldn't use them as they wanted to. Players were forced to play customs or put up with cheaters. By the time Bungie "fixed" the problem the maps were free, so people that bought the maps didn't get what they were promised.
To make things worse people are so brainwashed by Bungie that they stood up for them as if it was a normal business practice to sell broken products to people.
If you bought a car, and later found out that it was incapable of highway driving, wouldn't you want a refund?
That had no basis on why I didn't think it should have been mentioned in the article. It was an article about generic smack talk terms. How are terms used in a single game generic? They aren't, and had no place in the article.
If the author wanted to go into the terms used in specific games then he should have mentioned more than just those in Halo.
