I want to learn how to make better use of my Recon class. It is by far my weakest class and I need to improve my skills drastically. :D

As far as staying alive goes a good knowledge of the map's is a must. Knowing what direction the enemy spawn from or attack from is key. After that you need to stay in cover as much as possible in all situation's. I often see you major wandering around in the open just trotting along lol, if your trying to get somewhere sprint as far as you can, if you sense danger crouch and hide and scope the area before you run out into the open. Move through buildings if possible towards your objective so as to stay out of the open. Basic thing's like this are key. Also I flank as much as possible and never run head on into a battle if I can help it. Riding solo can be a death trap so try and stay with your squad for back up unless you know exactly what you are doing and where you can slip past the enemy. Knowing when to fire and not to is essential. Dont run after every enemy you see, I never do unless hes along the way I want to go. As soon as you fire your position is given up, in most scenario's anyway. Use your ears, if you hear footstep's near you check them out to see if it's a friendly or not. Likewise if you hear a door break near you or a drum being kicked. Ill add more as I think of them, im a lil groggy now ha.

As far as recon goes all you need to do is find a good hiding spot in a tree or on top of a tree hill or even mountain :P and after that i would recommend using a GOL with 12 x scope and magnum ammo, as its the most accurate and the magnum ammo will insure a kill with one hit marker. Only take a shot if your sure you can make it. You dont want to be popping off shots one after the other as it will give away your position. Also you should'nt join a squad and just go solo because if your teammate's spawn on you your position is given away. I dont know if you know about bullet drop but you need to be able to judge that also.

Keep in mind that Recon is just that, Recon, not a Sniperon. The sniper rifle just happens to be your weapon.
Get a good spot where you can see the objectives, weather on attack or defence on Rush, and see at least the area around 2 flags on conquest. Be on your mic constantly, tell your team mates where the enemy are, where they are not, when they are clear to go for Mcoms or steal vehicles.
Don't fire unless you have to, you will only give away your position then have to find a new overwatch. Snipe to take out key people, those going for objectives. You wont get a super1337 kill/death but your team will do a lot better.

Tiger, I meant to reply to you on this thread but had to do a pre-orientation. I'm pretty good at the medic class. If you would like, I can help you on BF2 and BF3. I am still getting used to the maps and still trying to get unlocks on BF3 but I'm happy to help. Add my GT on your PS3 and let me know when a good time is to get you started. :D
