I run the local League for the card game here for the younger kids in the area.

Although we are also home to a few of the top players in the state in the 15+ division.

Two of them both recently qualified for the World Championships in back-to-back events all in one weekend.

This is my 4th year as Gym Leader; currently we have 40 players registered and we average about 22 kids each Saturday morning. :D

I play also...there is a team of us, 1 of my best-friends and another really good friend are going to nationals in New York! The each won at one of the regionals! This was the 2004 State Championships; I went into the Top-8 Single Elimination cut ranked #1, but I didn't realize they put your deck in "order" during the top-8 mandatory deck check for legality. Thus, I failed to shuffle my deck enough and was eliminated first round of the playoffs.

The next event was a prerelease in which I won the 15+ division and took home a box of booster packs, which costs upward of $100. :D

I have blue and silver and I used to play them alot when I was younger. I never beat silver, I couldn't get passed like this tournament thing, so I just stopped playing haha. Didn't buy a GBA or a DS so that was the end of the handheld phase for me!

I never got into Yugioh, it was just Pokemon for me. I never really played the card game, it was expensive! I was mostly into the show and the gameboy game.

That's awesome, maybe we could talk sometime...it's hard finding players anymore...we have a team of about 10+ for the VG all really elite...2 are going to nationals and the rest, are almost as good. (Myself included if I would play more haha) I haven't played the TCG in a while but I still have my deck. If you want to chat sometime hit me up, I'm always up for talking to trainers.

jeezus......i remember my first card, it was a charmander. it was gangsta cause it was torn on the corner and when i got more and cooler cards. i still kepted my charmander in a protective case. when i ran out of protective cases i had to choose between my charmander and a 1st edition charizard, and my beat up charmander won. thats dedication. oh yea, the gameboy games were fun too. i choose charmander in the beginning. and on yellow i put pikachu in the computer cause i hated it following me. yea, imma dork, but theres no dork "cooler" than me.
