Trying to get better with the game by playing campaign first.

BC2 i think, as it's in the BC2 forum.

BC2 is a very different shooter to most, its slower both in gameplay and how fast you can move/aim. Its far more tactical than CoD and CoD-alikes too.
It takes some time to get used to it, and to learn the tactics used for the two major game modes (rush/conquest), as the map itself makes a major part of it (different maps have different cover, different choke points, different vehicles).
