Apparently a man traveling from the U.S. to Canada could face a year in prison for having manga in his possession. Why? Because Canadian customs believed his collection to be child pornography.

it aint right just because something looks bad to u doesnt mean you should try to arrest someone for having it and beside its not porn at all in fact I can tell u that some of the obscene scenes in the stories of he manga's actually enhances the story its self it doesnt matter if its a romance, action, comedy, or drama. Its just a story that ppl read for entertainment

Welcome to Socialist Canada. We ban everything from Manga, The right to defend yourself with a weapon, body armor (In manitoba), and heavy restrictions on Firearms, and so much more. Because here, the gov is in-charge, and not the people. Sad but true. I envy you guys, you got a proper 2nd Amendment, and Castle law in most states. But back to topic, Yes this is going too far. Makes me wonder what manga/Doujin it may have been. If it was a graphic doujin of Child porn then ya, that wouldn't fly with me either, that is just wrong in my book, even if it is just a doujin. But if not, then it's not their call to make if it is or is not considered CP.

Vladimir Nabakov got away with writing Lolita and it is a classic piece of literature. **** just ain't right. Most the the Lolicon sort of stuff is pretty tame compared to Lolita where he drugs and violates a 14 year old girl.

Damn laws denying me of a classic drama manga: Kodomo no Jikan. FFUUUUUU-

EDIT: I have no issues with people fantasizing over pictures and games ect. But the instant fantasy becomes reality is when **** just shouldn't happen.

I think its stupid they are doing this because we are all free to read what we want. Manga is a little more mature but so what? majority of the children these days know A LOT! but i love me some classic anime too and it sucks but happens I suppose

Seriously A bunch of moral bandits found out that kodomo no jikan was getting licensed in america. Man they ruined that for me. KnJ is the single best drama manga in history.

The whole point of the manga is to bring oversexualisation of children out from underneath the rug and put some light on the subject.

Not only is the manga quite educational but it is also a really good drama.

I highly recommend it.
