2 new halo' announced

As microsoft did their pannel at E3 they officially announced 2 Halo's:


Halo Combat Evolved anniversary which is a Halo CE Remake.

The second came as a shock as E3 ended they showed 1 last video. That video was the Halo 4 Video. The footage shows master chief in his cryogenic pod from the end of halo 3 as he wakes up he takes cortana and manages to reach the end of the ship as it heads to what looks like a planet.

Halo CE remake will be great

Halo 4 will be utter **** because they started pumping out games and killing the series. Halo stopped being good after 1 and 2, it all went down hill from Halo 3

Shouldn't get too excited about halo ce, 343 just remastered campaign and remade ce maps for reach, no standalone multiplayer

Halo 3 was a bit of a let down and Reach was Halo 3 with minor improvement and a new skin. Halo 4 seems purely for fanboys

How can this be true, though?

I understand everyone's resentment towards Halo:Reach, but if you think about it, is it not the PEOPLE in Halo:Reach that are ruining the experience? I understand it was rushed by Bungie before their departure, but the engine was completely rebuilt to craft the game, and with all of its flaws I still say it is superior. Even with Halo 3, so many people were disowning it as being a downgrade from Halo 2, mostly because of the people. So when the annoyances moved on and they shut down the Halo 2 servers, Halo 3 is now the superior game.

In my opinion, I believe Combat Evolved will be nostalgic, but not too much of a re-invention or anything of the sort. However, with a whole new team behind Halo 4, things could become very interesting. If not, then it'll be a disappointment. But no one can say it's for the fan boys, there's still a story to finish and there's still a mystery. After all, with 343's latest saga involving the Forerunners, there's still them to account for and the fact that Dr. Halsey and other Spartans are still trapped on the Onyx shield world. I admit that I am quite the fanboy myself, but I love to delve into these mysteries and the story that's been crafted so far. I think people are too immersed in the gameplay and what other people are doing. We should, instead, enjoy the games we play, not bash on others, and let the story that is still unfinished play out before us.

Every Halo Game was amazing, this is Microsoft's most precious series...

The remake will look amazing, but i will be let down by the fact that most of the quick routes and fun spots will be gone...

as far as Halo 4, im excited... im a huge fan of the halo soundtracks... and this one will definetly not dissappoint, and neither will the story

I'd have to agree with PK on this one. Halo Reach was the let down. I can't wait for Halo 4. Halo CE Remake... uh, I don't think I'll be getting that one. I still have the original.

Reach is everything it was supposed to be.... we were playing a game we knew we were going to die in... The Story alone is amazing, and they were learning there new engine with this game

I really dont see what the problem was with reach. was it because majority of you who grew acustomed to the battle rifle had to basically throw that out? bloom? armor lock? pff, you know how boring the game would have been if they didnt mix things up? Reach was awesome, more ways to survive, attack, better weapons (well for those who get our 60 bucks worth by not playing the stupid mlg settings), and the new modes (Invasion, Stockpile) and friggin FIREFIGHT! (especially the one where everyone shares the lives so you cant just rush in all stupid like). Reach had it all and it is good.

Halo CE remake will be cool cause its friggin Halo CE. Newf Said.

and Halo 4, we havent seen what these new people will do with it so you cant be talking down on them when you dont know if it will be better or not.

Im getting them both no questions. i like the halo franchise, i do agree that they are going down the CoD path (releasing too early) but you get your moneys worth.

Here is my 2 cents on them. Halo 4 will only be a disappointment because everyone is "saying" how good its going to be, they are building themselves up for disaster. I have found this to be true about anything that is coming out, if you have high hopes for the product coming out (be it movie or game), it wont be as good as you though. I don't expect anything "amazing" from Halo 4, that way it meets or exceeds expectations I had.
Remaking Halo: CE will be a flash back for me and I will be so overjoyed that I am going to bust out my old giant Xbox controller.

Being a new console gamer and Halo: Reach being my first Halo game, I will say Halo: Reach is defiantly my favorite out of the series. I haven't played Halo one or two mostly due to the fact they're going on ten years old. So I'm looking forward to the original being remade so I can see how it all started.

Halo Wars and Halo ODST were what the "****" kind of game is this, and I don't know I played Halo 3 a couple times, but I think because I wasn't playing Halo 3 during it's "prime" I never really could get myself to really get into it. It's fun and all, but Halo: Reach is just simply amazing to me.

I can see how people are going tired of the series after ten years, but I got my first console (Was a huge PC MMO gamer) in November 2010, so it's still all fairly new to me. I for one am very excited for the release of these two games.

Only thing I'll say is both looked VERY cartoonish to me which isn't very appealing, however, I'll be getting both either way.

I'll be getting both because when it comes to my games I'll try any game once and I at least play it til the end of the campiang and thats usually what sets everyone 1 up for the online game playbut there are games that I jump straight in too multiplay but hey thats just on a hand full of games

I don't think anyone's talking down on them. Some of just are just saying that to us Halo 3 was better. Reasons why? The levels were better in my opinion. (I miss pit and narrows.) BR was a great weapon but I can deal with the DMR. The melee system was as nearly as messed up and the sword wasn't overused (when I played). Also, the ARMOR LOCK is something I HATE! Please don't confuse these words with "I hate people that use armor lock" because that is not the case. Just saying... :)

HOWEVER! Reach does have some advantages. It's more team oriented, there's a recoil effect, they've added some of the old maps, different gametypes. There may be more that I am missing but ultimately I liked 3 better. But since this is supposed to be about CE Anniversary and Halo 4, as stated above I will be getting 4 but I am on the fence about CE.
