If you play with music loud enough to hear through your mic, yea I'd leave. Type of music doesn't matter, that's just not cool.

I would tell them they need to turn the music off or WAY down it is distracting & messes up game communication, if they didn't I would probably leave. I wouldn't let it happen during my practices.

This. I don't want to hear YOUR music on MY headset. It's not cool. presumptuous . Type of music doesn't matter. Quick way to get muted.
Now if you're playing it on your side and I can hear it when you talk then it doesn't matter what music you play. Your taste is your taste, just make sure to turn it down in your background so people can play.

what everyone else said. if someones playing music regardless of what it is or the type through their mic it's an insta mute, especially if it's country. if i wanted to listen to music while gaming, id do it myself.

its not that they hear when they play its the fact that some of us start singing it because it helps us concentrate but I usually sing really softly and they usually ask wht I'm singing and when I tell them that its country music they make a big deal out of it

I can understand singing and playing (I have done it before with Holy Diver by Dio) and it can be fun and entertaining, BUT thats only if your just having fun with friends or something. If your actually trying to focus and win most people want to do call outs or something to help the team, not distract them. But thats just my opinion.

Well everyone has a way of getting more focused and that can be singing. Only problem is that what helps you may hinder others so maybe if you need to sing mute yourself if it bothers others who play with you?

You left it open to interpretation. If we misinterpreted it, it wasn't our fault.
As far as you singing... if other people can hear it enough to comment on it, you arent singing silently enough. Mute your mic, issue solved or just play with friends. But in a public game that can get messy because your singing can mut important cues like footsteps or close dogs.

It also depends on the game like for instance when I play combat arm my singing not only helps me focus but it clams my team down until they realize that its country and then it me being called a noob thats why I dont reveal that a song is country and plus you can make it to where sound effect can still be over heard in the settings but most games I dont sing until I start losing complete concentration which is not much

I think the best option is the mute button. That would help with conversations about noobness not happening and wouldn't cause a disruption in anyones game except maybe your own with having to go back and forth with the mute, but that would be your own choice and probably the polite thing to do.

If it's good quality and I like the song then it doesn't bother me, but if they're blaring it then I don't care what it is it's just annoying
