I know there are many of the pms/h2o members that are not 18 yet, which makes it difficult to talk about some stuff on the forums.. I suggest we get a subsection or something, that is for those over 18.. If anyone feels that is unfair, then the ones under18 should have their own subsection too.. It's not to talk about real dangerous stuff and things like that, just things that maybe people under 18 shouldn't be talking about..
I know I would appreciate it :mvgiggle:

theres already been something like that a few years ago with divisions, and it failed miserably, Teen PMS, and Teen H2O. It tanked to say the least. It could be different on a forum, but who knows.

hmm.. it could fail, but it would just be a subsection.. how many people talk in the "european" section.. Im just saying, because I do understand why we cant talk about alot of stuff out of respect for those who are younger.. But we should have a board, where we would be able to talk about stuff that we cant now.. I know very many of us in fact are older then 18, and would probably participate in making the board good.

I'm not sure something like this would be needed, at least I don't see why it would be. This is a site about gaming first and foremost after all. - IMO if we are sticking to the handbook why would be talking about things that those under 18 shouldn't be involved in?

Agreed. Separation by age groups is a little unfair. This is a community and when we separate ourselves then we are no longer a community.

It's like we're a family, and some things you just don't talk about with a large group lol. This site is E for everyone, publicly. You can always PM with some of your closer friends, for more private subjects, when it applies.

welp, y'know, if you look at all the games and their ratings, theyre all M anyway - and the online play is uncensored.
If people under 18/17 are playing the games anyway, they are most likely mature enough to handle stuff.

Im not talking about heavy stuff, but its not like we would be dividing the community, just making a site where we can go and ask each other stuff.. forexample, if I wanted to make a killer good drink, I would make a thread saying, how do you make a killer good drink.. the way the rules are now, I cant do that.. and pms origins, I might be mistaking, but I believe I remember that handbook mentioning stuff not to talk about, but it was because not all members are old enough.. ? I dont know, it sounded like a good idea to me, but maybe it wasnt :)

The Handbook addresses what we shouldn't do or say in front of minors, yes, however, it shouldn't be a guideline for just minors. The attitude and behavior that we should be demonstrating anytime while wearing the PMS/H2O tag, should be the same. Respectful and Appropriate.
There are other sites that you could go to, not wearing the tag, and be able to still find out what makes for a really killer drink. Here in the states where PMS has it's headquarters, that would need to be a 21+ sub-forum.

I didn't mean for it to sound like I was saying that the "sub section" should be inapproproate or disrespectful!
But yes- I get it! :)

I often have to remind myself this is a gaming only website, because there have been times I wanted to bring my politics into some of the threads I see but I hold back only out of respect for the rules. I had to realize that nearly everyone here is in high school or college so they do not see things the way I do now that my college years are behind me and I better understand how everything in the government/world works.
Because of that I see the initial desire for a subsection of young adults above 18 as a way to better connect to people your age, but as a gaming site there is no need. We just need to stay strictly on the topic of games.

Another issue could be that anyone on the internet can be any age they want. So a 12 year old could set their age to older to see this sub section.

I think we've figured it's a bad idea :D
This forums does not need such a section.

I think that having a sub-section for those over 18 is not a bad idea.As for how to handle the "Youngster's Getting In."A system can be placed to detected if your over the appropriate age.

Today, I played a game with a 9 year old on Black Ops. And I assure you, this kid is no where mature enough to be playing rated M games.
