Well just last night my mouse screwed up. Its been acting up a lot. Sometimes when I play black ops it won't let me sight up my gun when I right click. So I have to go into settings and reset it.
Also when I play Dragon Age 2 and I click to use a spell nothing happens I have to click it 3 times just to get it work.
And when I design in photoshop the sensor acts up like it does small circular motions and it sometimes does it when I play MW2 or any shooter game.
Well last night my Scroll broke it won't work. I looked at it for 10mins and found the problem. The bar that holds the wheel straight is broken on one end. which sucks cause I can't do weapon swaps or knife. I use arrow keys so all my keys on my keyboard that are in reach for quick access are used up. I was gonna open it up and fix it but the screws are stripped.
So I am in need of a new mouse. I am looking for something lighter and maybe a little faster. I have used the G9 didn't like it thought it was too bulky and plus it died 6mos later. The mouse I am using now is my dad's Microsoft mouse and its really slow compared to my Razer DeathAdder.
I was thinking about the SteelSeries Xai mouse. But if anyone has an ideas on a mouse similar to this one let me know. Just a side note I need something with 2 side buttons on the left side of the mouse.

I will still highly recommend the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0, as it is still regarded as the best LAN mouse you can possibly get your hands on.
My highest recommendation would be to stay away from Razer, unless you don't mind buying a new $60-$90 mouse every year, in which case, I'd say just go for another Deathadder. I've used numerous mice, and still to this day always go back to the MIE 3.0, it's a legend, and simply has the precision tracking that I love so much. Of course it's not a fancy mouse with textures all over it, or any gimmicks, but the mouse itself is phenomenal.
Outside of the MIE 3.0 and Deathadder, I still recommend the MX518 and 510 from Logitech, they were the last mice of a certain generation before jumping onto becoming bulkier, which I certainly personally could not deal with.
You said you liked how "fast" the deathadder was compared to the MS mouse your father has, are you specifically looking for a "high dpi mouse"?

ya cause I am used to my 3500dpi. I use my full dpi from the deathadder. I am used to it now.
I was wondering what is CPI compared to DPI. cause the XAI from steel series uses 5,001 CPI

CPI = DPI, although referred to as Counts Per Inch.
I wouldn't honestly worry too much about dpi/cpi, it's mostly a marketing gimmick. If the Xai is what you are interested in, SteelSeries has nice products.

I guess it really depends as far as wireless goes, I saw the Cyborg a while back myself and simply did not like how it felt, but that was me. Tracking was alright, I liked the Deathadder much better for tracking however.
I just don't see spending $100 for a mouse when there are better options available. And when you take wired vs wireless into consideration, I messed with wireless for a little and strayed away due to the lag input, even if minimal, it was noticed when playing in league matches in CounterStrike Source. Maybe it was just me trying to notice it too much, but it was there and I did notice it.
The best possible thing, in all honesty here, is for you to try to find friends with different mice. That way you can see how they feel for yourself. Or check out BestBuy, they should have a decent variety of mice out so you can feel them in your hands.

ya I like steel series.
I had a headset once but it broke and it was my fault it broke. (Completely accidental) I had it for a year and it was great it was the 4H.
but then I bought the razer headset cause everyone I talked to at that point in time said it had really good sound quality. I used it and I thought the sound quality sucked compared to what my 4h steel series put out.
As for the cyborg I saw them a while back they looked pretty cool. But I didn't like the feel of how it felt either.
I just need to get money now lol which is fine I can wait. right now I had to revamp my keyboard so I could make that happen. now I am practicing with black ops combat training with bot so I can get used to my key setup.

I am using a Saitek Cyborg atm, and its not bad at all, though I dont play and FPS's with it. When I used to play CS:Source it was with the trust ol' MS Intellimouse, good tracking, great build quality and had a really nice click to it (if that makes sense).

how come? have you owned one?
I've owned several of their products, and to this day still have the original Deathadder and Microsoft Reclusa as well as the Copperhead and the keyboard I currently use, the Blackwidow Ultimate.
What I actually use is another story, I use the infamous MIE 3.0 as far as mice go, and SteelSeries QcK Heavy for mousepad, I use the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate keyboard simply because I settled for the lighting and media keys over my previous DasKeyboard. DasKeyboard was better in almost every aspect(especially for general typing), but the commodity of media keys is something I personally want to have. SteelSeries 6Gv2 would be a good replacement due to the Cherry MX keys they use, however I do not care for the replacing of the Windows key, otherwise I would use them or a Filco.
Razer sucks.... If you want to think otherwise that is perfectly fine, but they have a LONG history of their crappy products being unreliable. And their attempt into the "audiophile" segment as far as headsets goes... Well, if you own one of their headsets I am sorry, maybe Marketing 101 will be kinder next time.
I enjoy certain Razer products yes, before you say, "why say that if you own Razer products?", it is simply, they really need to work on their QC for ALL of their products. Deathadder for example, good little mouse when it's working, really is, it's almost as good as the MIE 3.0, yet it has a nicer feel on your hands, which is nicer than the plastic the MIE 3.0 offers. But it sucks when well known and well respected products like the MIE 3.0 last several years without issue, and a lightly-used Razer product offering what you thought would be more "comfort", lasts for a few months before it just... stops working.
If they start putting out some products that last and start to build a more respected reputation outside of all the "gaming" adverts and sponsorships to get their products more known, I would be 100% for them.
Look at Logitech, they have been doing damn well.... Hell, I still have a MX510 and MX518, their new products still seem to be pushing strong. AND, they offer an AMAZING customer support.
Super, if you enjoy your Mamba, by all means, stick with Razer. Part of choosing something like a mouse is personal choice of course for how it feels to YOU, the buyer. I just like to look at it more from a reliability aspect as well as other things rather than just, "this mouse feels comfortable".
It's just not new that they are well known for unreliability and random issues with keyboards/mice/firmware.
