Actually it's hard for us girls too, my boyfriend thought that when he signed up for dating a pro gamer there would be nonstop gaming all that time! When really I devote all my free time to one game, and by the time I see him I don't wanna sit around and play games the whole time, and I certainly don't wanna get distracted by some really awesome new game, lol.

Actually it's hard for us girls too, my boyfriend thought that when he signed up for dating a pro gamer there would be nonstop gaming all that time! I think there's an important distinction to be made between hardcore gamers and pro gamers. While i don't classify as hardcore, I enjoy a variety of games as well as getting into one really well. Pro gaming on the other hand is very, well, restricting in that respect. Then again the first step is understanding it all.

And the question about "uber micro". You kind of have to be into RTS or have watched Pure Pwnage. Jeremy plays Command & Conquer Generals: Zero Hour so thats where this question comes from. But anyways uber micro. Micro is short for micromanagement. In RTS you usally have many units under your control and you have to quickly manage them all at once. Moving certain groups to areas, attack things, formations, etc. A person who uses keyboard shortcuts for all these functions and is very fast at doing things in RTS games tends to always win. People who have this are said to have "uber micro".
And actually if you wanna get technical its Über micro :)

oh my...... that's so sad. Sometimes I forget that being a girl gamer is an oddity to the girl world. Not that it's bad :p just wierd to everyone else who doesn't game. I agree with cramps that's the reason I hung out with guys in high school and not girls.

Yeah some girls I work with actually found out I play games with hawt girls and they definitely think differently of me now, lol. Oh well...because the next girl I date will definitely be a gamer.

I couldn't get the silly little dot things above the "U" hehe. and I've played command and conquer before, for like 8 seconds. I went to urbandcitionary and found out what it is after I posted that, haha. but yeah...:D Imma watch purepwnage episode 2 now...:)

ahh well I dated a chick in my area that loved to play DDR (that chick is the one that got me into it) and she also liked to play God of War, Animal Crossing, and Star Wars:Battlefront on ps2. i also got her to play some CS:S (even tho she died a lot i encouraged her :})
lets just say that i can't really play those games without remember her and getting all sad.. it is a nice perk in the beginning but if it ends badly it tends to really suck.. but then again that is my opinion ^.^

I love how they assume we have no lives, too. Like I don't drag my *** out of bed at 6 am to go to work everyday. I can't even count the number of guys in TTL that are married, a lot of them already have kids.

No they just have this idea that girls dont play video games, but I have changed their opinion of that. Oh and yeah I am back EDX!!
