Are you the Phoenix,
Who dared to rise from the Ash?
For when you find your self fading,
Reduced to a wish on a lash;
Who is it that you will turn to,
To be you shelter till it's passed?

There was a time when you were burning,
A flaming spirit with a name.
But that fire has since burned out,
Returned to something you can't explain.
How can you become that Phoenix,
Who dares to love again?

Close your eyes and look closer,
Before you let go of your past;
You are blind yet you are seeing,
Your own live behind the glass,
Will you gain the courage to live again,
When all you have dreamed seems past?

And will you be that Phoenix,
Who dares to rise from the Ash?
Because if you close your eyes and look closer,
In yourself you will find the questions you asked.
And in these answers you will find,
The courage to let go of the past.
