Hey Reese PM me some details and I might be able to help still kinda new to after effects. I have been messing with intro's for myself and husband you can see some of the stuff I have done as far as in a video and intro's on my youtube. Just click the video on my profile. Also were you wanting a separate sound for your intro or just be able to put it at the begining and use the game sound?


As for capture cards the Dazzle is good its what we used before but then went to the hauppauge because you can record in HD. You can however setup the Dazzle to record in a quality that's pretty close to HD and I think my husband may still have those settings running around somewhere.
