ok, so a few days ago i get a call that states i no longer have a ps3 at my EBgames, we were 7th, and they only had 6. so yesterday morning we head over there, and stupidly take our pre-order out, thinking, hey we'll just camp somewhere today. So we lose our pre-order there.
we head over to Best Buy, 30 people in line, 26 ps3's, it had been like that for 2 days. next we go to Circuit City, 6 people in line, 6 ps3's, even Target had 13 people waiting. So basically we got hardcore boned.
oh and what makes this story awesome, is 2 days ago, we didn't go to school, and slept all day, guess where we could have been? yeah, we didn't not think this through at all. as well as we took our pre-order out of EB so now we aren't even guaranteed one at the next shipment.
and the BEST part of this story is, everything was riding on me getting this and selling it on Ebay, wether or not i graduate, wether or not i do my senior project, because i am dirt poor, and so is my mom, and my computer is broken, and i was gonna use the money to fix it, and without it i can't do my senior project, and without my senior project i can't graduate :)
also i was going to use it to go see someone who i love so much, but now that probably isn't going to happen
basically, we got ****ed in the ***

that sux that that happened. but You have $600 now so use that to fix your computer *or build your own...* then graduate. find a job get money that way and go do what you planned to do after.

me and my friend were going halfsies on it, and we were both borrowing the money, so i had to get the 300$ back. but i did get a vision camera from the 50$ pre-order money :)? lol

and just because YOU think it's dumb, doesn't mean everyone else does. i unlike you obviously, love sony, and i love their system, so camping out for something that i will have a **** load of fun with, is not stupid, thank you.

i was going to do the whole camp out thing, but there were so many people, even 3 days before.
but it's ok, i'm fine with my 360 for the time being. I'll end up getting a ps3 later on, but from what i hear it can't even hold a candle to XBox 360. (which was well worth the 17 hours of waiting in line. :-P)

i plan on doing both of those things, as well as getting my ps3 :)

The first batch of systems is usually the worse. You'll get one, give it time. I'm sure they'll "magically" appear in a huge load before Christmas. Sony likes to do that.

Crazy what you people do for a PS3. I actually avoided it after the crazy $600 price. Plus, the launch titles stank. Where was Tekken or Ridge Racer? Even after watching the news about once again, crazy fights braking out over a PS3; I was really glad I was not out in the street fot that stupid system. My body, health, and life are more worth than that system.

it's funny how people see how the ps3 made riots and completely forget that the 360 was the exact same. but w/e.

I agree, I normally like waiting until the second or third editions... its like cars, normally the first year a model is out there are tons of problems, then they fix them and they get a lot better :D
Plus the price normally drops by then :p
