Hey guys

I was just looking through the medal unlocks for "Crysis 2" (http://www.gameguidecentral.com/2011/03/crysis-2-dog-tags-medals/) and I spotted this in row 3: "AFTERNOON TEA -- Teabag 10 victims"

So, lets say you wanted this medal. How would we as members go about attaining this? Obviously we are all respectful members who abide by the handbook and show respect to all individuals online, so we don't tea-bag. So how on earth are we supposed to get this? xD

oh yay a tricky situation especially if someone gets it before joining PMS/H2O. i'm pretty sure the most likely loopholes to this is to just gather a group a friends together on a private server and just get the tag there if they really wanted. it shouldn't break the rule seeing as it's just them clowning around and not them being disrespectful.

LOL! I was just thinking about that the other day looking at the guide. But I have to agree with sinper on this one. If your doing it just to be a a** then it's another story. But if your playing a private match with friends and they know what is going on, then I don't see a problem with it. But then again, I'm not a general...so don't listen to me.

I guess it would be fine aslong as the people helping you get it knew what was happening. I don't make the rules though

Hahaha.. thats awesome. So are you saying that NO ONE ever teabags now once in awhile? ;)

Like above though. The idea is to not be a douche for the purpose of being a douche. If you arent being a jerk I am pretty sure you can fit in 10 random teabags during a span of playing this game. lol...

Tells you something about the games intended audience if teabagging is an achievement though.

But yea, if its an achievement, I dont see it as disrespecting so long as you dont do the same guy 10 times lol.

It's not a achievement...your getting a dog tag for doing it. But you need 150 dog tags to get a achievement.

That's really interesting. I kind of feel like (and this is just personal opinion) if it's an achievment in the game, and you're not acting against the code of conduct on mic when you do it, I don't see how you could get in trouble for it.

Or if someone is really worried about it, send whoever the unlucky recipient is a message saying you're sorry for the vulgar movement but you are trying to unlock the achievement. Most gamers will understand that. :)

Lol I cant believe you you are even discussing this... Just do it no need to explain your actions its a part of the game everyone will be doing it, if the guy you're doing it to is playing the game (s)he knows he needs to do it also will probably do it back to you?? so (s)he will know its a part of the game and will take no notice. Plus is a game its not like you're actually dipping your reproducive organs physically into someones mouth.. and if you're a girl you have none to dip.

I have to disagree with you 100% here, Piczel. It's not just a moral issue, it's a clan issue. This sort of activity is very much frowned upon (read: prohibited) during gameplay and is seen as a move that can get you in trouble, so bringing this issue out on the floor to be discussed is not only a wise move but also a needed one.

I've read other's comments on this and though I do agree that it's an achievement in the game I don't necessarily agree with it being an achievement in the game, ya know? I don't like it when someone teabags me in any game because it's a really douchey move and shows a distinct lack of respect for your fellow gamer and, thusly, is something that the Clan doesn't endorse - I agree with that. However, with it being an achievement in the game it brings up a dilemma for anyone who likes filling out their achievement scores to max.

So, the question itself is how do we, as members of PMS|H2O deal with an aspect of a game that goes against Clan policies? I can't really agree with the idea of kicking or banning people who have the achievement simply because it's part of the game itself. It is a douche move, I don't like it, but the developers put it into the game as something you can do to unlock a medal(whatever), essentially rewarding you for doing the obnoxious move.

If you're playing a game, I'm agreeing with Vamp PMS on this one: Send the recipient a message apologizing for the move and explain that you're doing it for the achievement and that no ill intent was involved. Plus? Don't mic spam idiocy while you're getting the achievement.

However, this question is best left up to the Admins to suss out since, essentially, it's the policies themselves that are directly affecting us (the Clan) as a whole.

Great question. Happy to see so many of our members well-versed on our protocols.

As it stands, the general rule is that we do not teabag in a manner that is considered to be unsportmanlike conduct or against another clan member - especially if the clan member will take offense. Most division leaders do not permit teabagging of any kind though on occasion, small teams that work really well together and who really know each other, do it in a playful way.

As it stands for an achievement in Crysis, if you are playing with clan members, I would make it clear that you are doing it for the achievement, and once the achievement is over, cease the behavior. (If you do not tell clan members that you are doing it, I would bet money that it gets reported to someone in your leadership chain and none of us needs the extra drama or work over a simple game achievement.)

Alternatively, a group of friends outside of clan practice playing together would be an additional way to earn this achievement (even in legit play) to avoid any clan heartburn.

This is not like a hack/exploit situation. It is an achievement. So you are permitted to gain the achievement if you like to maximize them; do not use it as an excuse to represent the clan in a bad light.

If someone rages about it (because people do know us as trying to operate to our code of conduct), just let them know it was for the achievement. Once you get to 10, and stop, they will see that you are a person of your word.

If you want to be super safe, make sure your division leader knows ahead of time.

(Also - what Arbee H2O said above.) This isn't license to be an idiot; we still expect you to conduct yourself accordingly and represent the clan well. Achieve the achievement and be done with it; do not make it into something bigger than it is.

(I personally do not teabag, and do not like to be teabagged as I find it pointless; that being said, should you find me on crysis and need to earn the achievement, feel free. I won't get upset unless you do it to me in CoD or 11 times.)
