Theres been countless threads where people are ARGUEING with one another. Debating is one thing, giving back and forth statements on why one believes this is right or wrong is alright.. But so many touchy-subjects have come up lately (Religion, Gay Marriage, that one :D thread that was deleted, even the Wii vs. PS3 Commercial) that some people are finding it necessary to put down those who dont share the same views.
I for one am kind of tired of it.. What happened to the peace and quiet and fun loving people in the forums? Debate is cool, I love debate.. Religion for example, I may personally be agnostic, but I love to hear peoples theories/beliefs so I can extend my own.
If somebody made a "DOES GOD EXIST???" thread right now on these forums, chances are there would be 3 religious crusaders and 5 pure athiests battling it out with bombs strapped to their chest, and I dont understand.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is, each person has one or more good reasons to believe what they believe. The definition of "good" isn't determined by what 1 person, or even what a society thinks, its what your heart thinks. Darth Vader may have been on "The Dark Side", but as far as he was concerned, he was doing the right thing.. He wasn't just doing what he did to be an *******.
So before you start ARGUEING about something that could just be a difference of opinion, why don't you try to look at it from multiple perspectives.. Respect one another. No matter how much someone disagrees with you, remember in the back of your mind that they have a good reason to think and act the way they do. Whether they're a good guy or a bad guy isn't for you, or anybody to determine. To each their own.
