aw.. that really sucks! poor guy.. he should have been more assertive right from the start :/

I agree with one of the comments: "why didn't he just call some lawyers at the beginning before the photo went viral? Also he is too laid back. He could have been a millionaire with that photo if it was correctly licensed!"

There are some things that are more important than money. The picture became a symbol of rebellion and overall anger towards sovereign entities and government in general. A symbol is worth more than any amount of money could pay out.

Yeah, I know that and completely agree with you. But I'm just thinking, if you are to get the added bonus of making money off of it, why not? I think I'd be pretty pissed if someone took something that I created and was making bank off of it while I just kind of sat there and watched it happen. The guy should have at least gotten some credit or something.. he didn't seem too thrilled that people had been using his art without even asking him first.

that is wild. I've learned that once you post something on the internet is impossible to control the redistribution of it. Watermarks are a joke. This poor guy...

Can't blame him for not knowing his icon would be such a complete success.

Too bad Edgar Cayce isn't around still, otherwise this guy wouldn't have had his meme robbed.
