Dust 514

I'm just wondering if anyone has heard of this game in development. It's a 1st Person MMORPG by the team responsible for EVE Online (CCP Games) and developed just up the road from me in Newcastle, England. What I think is especially innovative about this game is the interaction between EVE Online players and Dust 514 players on console. There's no release date penned yet but it's been in development for one and a half years. Here's the game info from Dust 514 by CCP Games (http://www.ccpgames.com/en/products/dust-514.aspx)

DUST 514 is a First Person Shooter (FPS) and strategy experience set within the EVE universe. The primary gameplay features brutal ground combat that takes place on the surface of planets, delivering the visceral, adrenaline-fueled experience of futuristic firefights. Developed for the current generation of consoles, DUST 514 will be equal parts battlefield reflexes and strategic planning, allowing commanders and ground infantry to work together, utilizing the real time configurable modular weapons and vehicles at their disposal to adapt to and control dynamic battlefield conditions.

More than a mere persistent world, DUST 514's connection with EVE Online makes New Eden a true virtual reality. The planets that DUST 514 players fight on will be the same planets that EVE pilots see and interact with in space. Both worlds will be linked in such a way that cooperation between players is optional, but beneficial to both if accepted.

CCP have a habbit of not delivering on there promises. Walking in stations has been promised for years, eve gate fails to live up to its promises. They are also building dust and world of darkness online, they just arnt big enough for so many projects. At least they got eve right thoough!

Its been "moving along nicely" since eves launch. Don't get me wrong I love the game nd will get dust on release most likely but CCP just promise things waaaay to early.

H2O AshJordan told me about this game and I'm interested, although I've never played EVE before. This game has been in production for quite some time, I hope they can pull it off
