The new Go Team album; Rolling Blackouts was released this week. If you've ever heard them then the new album is pretty much what you'd expect from them. It's got a crazy combination of off-beat sounds and a catchy feel good vibe to it.
I like the Go Team, their previous two albums 'Thunder Lighning Strike' and 'Proof of Youth' are also good.
If you haven't heard of them then I sourced this from the NME site:
The Go! Team are an English, Brighton-based sextet. They have pushed the boundaries of indie rock and garage rock in a unique style, with an innovative mixture of blaxploitation and Bollywood soundtracks, double dutch chants, old school hip hop and distorted guitars similar to the style of Sonic Youth. Their songs are a mix of live instrumentation and samples from various sources. The band's vocals vary between performances: while live vocals are handled mostly by Ninja (with Tsuchida and Fukami-Taylor also singing some solos), vocals on record consist of sampled and guest voices, not just Ninja's.
