SSBB FAQ (http://www.wiichat.com/nintendo-wii-articles/1543-super-smash-bros-brawl-faq.html)
Will Super Smash Bros. Brawl support Nintendo Wi-Fi?
Yes, SSBB will have online capabilities.
The game will be fully online playable in addition to featuring a robust multiplayer mode. "My plan is to include Wi-Fi connection compatibility and online functionality. One of the primary reasons Super Smash Bros. Brawl was created was that Nintendo, when taking Wii online, wanted to have Smash Bros. to do that," added Sakurai.
And for those who play SS in the tourneys like MLG:
Will the game use the Wiimote’s motion sensitivity?
Super Smash Bros. Brawl will not use the Wiimote features. Instead it will be designed for the Gamecube controller and possibly the classic pad.
"We found that trying to implement too much motion-sensory functionality can get in the way of the game. We're looking at keeping the control simple, as it has been," said Sakurai.
"The Wii hardware has sockets for the GameCube controller, too. So I'll just say now that you may not want to throw away your GCN controller yet."
Yay, we can use our GC controllers...I was a little worried about that...pure genius.

Blah why the use of Game Cube controllers? If I want to do that I rather just play the game on the Game Cube.

Lol, I couldn't imagine playing SSB without the GC controllers, especially if your going to actually compete professionally. I know a lot of SSB fans feel the same way and I'm glad Nintendo listened. I just don't see this game with a remote and nunchuk. Like the man said it would just be too much of a distraction.
That's what's so great about the Wii, they're so many choices on what you can do.

Lot of TV's broken and a lot of hitting your friends by accident lol. But I'm sure the Wiimote will be good enough for this installment of SSB :)

yes because you really want motions for a fighting game. think about it, so many "Sorry dude I didn't mean to punch ya in the face"
