Dude, relax lol. They're poking fun at the story arcs and silly gameplay mechanics that CoD has. That's all.

And Gears IS better, because Gears has chainsaw bayonets. 'Nuff said.

It would be pointless trying to argue on which game is better because it depends on the individual (I love FPS's and Adventure, hate RTS). I just think it's a shame Epic decided it should poke fun at a rival franchise to promote one of their own titles. Ok, it isn't a direct poke at specific titles but come on, was I the only one that thought of CoD when I saw this? I honestly think Epic have shown a bit of disrespect for other FPS games by doing this.
Don't get me wrong though I'm not an FPS fan who would get insulted by this because personally, I've grown tired of them (more into the zombies right now, going on a mass Resident Evil streak).

gears is probably one of, if not, the most original and creative shooter on any console. what other game uses the unreal engine? what other game is this violent, where you can blow peoples limbs apart and chainsaw them in half? what other game can you roll and use active cover? also, i find that gears has THE best campaign out of any other game, and the multiplayer has the perfect pace for a console game. its not too fast like unreal tournament (which is good on the pc) and its not too slow.

Rainbow 6 vegas came out almost a year before Gears 1. Also the game Kill.Switch had a cover system, and it came out in 2003.
