Okay, these sounds good that infinity ward and Sledgehammer Games are making the single player. but, FML what is Raven doing making the multiplayer features? :/ any one have any idea if they are good at shooter and ect.

I don't care who makes the game, no software house can do as much damage to the game as the insane game-a-year release cycle.

But yeah given that Gears of War 3 is being released about the same time I doubt I'll be spending much time on it. I'll get it but purely due to my division as Gow>Cod IMO.
Just hope that the game good really. But with a game a year being turned out by the CoD franchise I have serious doubts :\

CoD and the developers have gone downhill. Making another one would be purely ridiculous, but they're doing it because they know the 'fans' are going to expect one. What they really should do is fix the ones they have, because nobody's going to want to play the next one if the previous one sucked horse poo.

Yep! This news is annoying. Activision is just being greedy at this point and seems to purposely want only 1 year out of each game. But I'll be a sucker and buy it again. I am glad I've kept every Call of Duty since 3, because I love going back to play those.

Its deffintatly no accident that hacking is going unchecked on MW2, no doubt this time next year the same thing will happen on BO.

In my opinion, someone should organise a boycott. I have not heard one single gamer who has not complained about the series and let's be honest, it's a dead series. They keep churning out the same stuff, it's just recycled and made to look different
And I have to agree about Gears being the choice of game I'd buy instead of this.

Millions would disagree with what you just said. People are still going to buy it.

I haven't really enjoyed a Call of Duty since 4. I'll probably be playing Gears 3 anyway. At least I will have CoD 2 and 4 to keep me company :)

I shall make a facebook group for ze boycott and post on the forums :P I really didnt want to get BO, MW2 was awesome... BO is well... lacking of the CoD name tbh

the reason for it is because no matter what patches they release there will always be a new exploit found and until the hardware side is fixed theres no use patching a game that will return to the same status in under a month

Black Ops lacked initative. It felt like a remake of MW2 but for the better. However the guns just felt lame, I only use two or three
I hate the cod franchise. i havent loved a cod multiplayer since cod4. every one that came out after has just been annoying and just lacking fun.
CoD:W@W - vehicles ruined the game
CoD:MW2 - OMA, danger close, nuke
CoD:BO - bullet and kill lag, connection.
I haven't yelled at a game or my tv so much in my life. I don't understand why they can't make a game that can be played for a couple years, make it great, fix the problems and let the fan enjoy it for a couple years like Halo.
I will probably just rent the game to finish the story and get a platinum.

eh, ill get it anyways. ive had fun with all of them so why stop now? dont get me wrong i would also like to have the CoD franchise take a break but if its fun for me as the others have been then i dont see why not. though to be honest since Bl.Ops raised the bar with Combat Training with bots, custom logo/playercards and the rest of the customization, theater and all of the single player stuff (campaign, survival mode, arcade survival, and zork). well there just has to be the same ammount of content with this one. (since raven is working alongside with this maybe put the E-11 Blaster from Jedi Knight 2? lol)

It will be interesting to see what they come up with :P Maybe a change could work out for the better.. New developers could mean the COD series might actually bring out something completely different... I <3 MW2 and <3 the original zombies maps on WAW blacks op has grown on me.. but i think there is only a very little change between Black ops and MW2 most of witch is cosmetic .... its good to have improvement but does it have to be a whole new game?...u work so hard to get your rank up to have a new version come out that's all most the same and have to start all over... >.<

COD is not gonna be on top of things forever and Activision knows this. They are gonna milk COD for every cent they can and push out titles yearly till it gets old, in the meantime I believe they are probably working on the next new title to take over when COD starts to die down. They will probably push out MW3 and then 1 more before you start to see a huge decrease in sales..if even then.

Name a game that is perfect. You can't. Every game the devs push boundaries to bring us more and end up with some loose ends and glitchy content.
At least Treyarch is actively fixing Black Ops. IW never did a thing for MW2, and playing it now.. .it's the most hacked glitchfest of all!
I am looking forward to seeing the series realized anew with different developers pitching in. IW's talent pool was decimated by the mass exodus following Jason and Vince's firing, they have to pull in help.
Different cooks mean different cakes with the same recipe.
