Female Master Chief in halo 3

Hey On Bungie Weekly Update they talk about putting a Female voice as a custom charcter in halo 3.This could be good for girls who wanted a female voice in halo....but in mutiplayer he doesnt talk they she put this in single player tho.......but anyway this is from bungie.net.........




Hey, ladies. Yeah, I’m talking to you, ladies. It has come to my attention that a significant chunk of our playership is female. I myself am constantly pooned and then humped by ladies. That is not sexy like it sounds, btw. It’s humiliating. Anyway, one of the things we’re looking at for Halo 3 multiplayer (Master Chief is all man) is adding a female voice to the Spartan character should you choose it as part of your custom character.

If we do it, it won’t be comical, stereotypical or insulting – we’ll pick a great, strong female actress who can pull off bloodcurdling death cries and rattles. And we’re not promising anything, we’re just trying to gauge interest. If you girls think it would be cool, then comment in the forums, spam me with PMs or start a petition on your own sites and forums. Then we’ll have to listen. If you think it’s pointless and patronizing and you’re happy just being a dude, then say so.


btw I always wanted 2 know more about the female spartan from doa 4 bout i think she not in the same time frame as Master Chief thats why i he wasnt put in doa 4.......

Ummmm ok, seriously, Spartans, They are Spartans, Not Master Chiefs. Master Chief is just one Spartan, and you know if they add a female voice in Halo 3, I am going to be in a female voice, cause it is just easier on the ears. and Masterchief is not all man, hence the cyborgnetic implants.

There really isn't a story for Nicole (Spartan-458) in DOA4. She doesn't have a special movie when you beat her time attack or anything, she's just a secret character. There are some people who use her and win with her. And the voice actor for her in DOA4 is great! Very strong but femine voice.

I think Tecmo just put her in to try and get more of an audience for DOA.

This is just talking about multiplayer you know. They can't exactly distinguish between genders with a Spartan any other way than voice.

Guess a female voice is better then nothing..but i had dreams of a skilled tough armored lady (most girls in videogames are lightly dressed for some reason..lol) That would have felt like a new touch. From fake spartan images i´ve seen online i know it can be done..to make them look more female even in armor.

it's definatly a good idea.

the spartan from doa4 is fake. it was just made for that game only. she isn't apart of anything other than doa4.
they won't make a female suit, due to the fact that the spartan's all look exactly the same, in fact the only one's able to tell the difference without talking is them, and Dr. Halsey.

the online drawings are just fanart, plus, i'd rather their not be a full blown female spartan character, it would probably be smaller, thus more people being that character due to a smaller target. a female voice is indeed a very good idea though.

Actually, this is untrue. When Team Ninja approached us about doing a Spartan character for DoA 4, they were very interested in whatever ideas we had to offer to make it happen. For example, the fact that she's female was our idea. So was her name.

So was her backstory. 458's backstory ties into another bit of Halo-related fiction. If you're not sure what Nicole ties into (and thus, how we "justified" why a Spartan could be in the DOA world), dig around a bit. People figured it out pretty quick, not that I'm one to confirm anything. ;)

As for the question of "why would they only sound female?" Well, Spartans are genetically altered super-soldiers. They're designed to be incredibly strong, with high agility and reflexes to complement. The end result is that a female might be difficult to distinguish from a male spartan, even without the armor. With the armor, the only person that can tell them apart is the one that trained and raised them.

The bottom line is you're talking about someone wearing hundreds of pounds of nuclear-powered armor. Even if female spartans looked like super models, they go into battle wearing some really thick armor.

Heh. I sorta figured that I'd be getting phone calls or text messages the moment it got out that we were looking into doing female Spartan voices. Either Twin's on vacation, or I've been out of the fan community longer than I thought.

[Edit]: It should go without saying, but my showing up should be a sign that we're absolutely interested in your input. I've had a couple of conversations with some Halo die-hards amongst the PMS clan that would suggest there is a strong interest for the option of a female voice in multiplayer. Let us know what you think!

Hmmm, a thought came to mind, will the voices im halo 3 multiplayer be replacing the person's actual voice. If so, Thank the Lord, I am tired of people shrieking at me.

Do they even have voices in multiplayer other than 'Arrrrrgh...I'm dead'? Also, Master Chief changes his armour between the two games, so there could be a change in armour for the fem-chief.

all i want to see is whats gonna go on with the other surviving spartans that John met up with on Reach. I would personally like to see them in the single player game. not have to play them, but see them. Cuz John isnt the last one ya know. ....and also i would like to see Bravo Company, and possibly Alpha Company from next-gen spartan project :P.

I'm pretty sure anyone here would say it's a great idea. As for the other armor if they really wanted to make it unique and different they would need to make more than just a new skin. All of the 1st and 3rd person models, animations, etc. Not saying they couldn't but it would be easier to leave Halo how it already is (all Spartans using same type of armor) rather than changing it.

and also, the female p.o.v.- they WOULD be smaller, thats why most use them in some games where the sizes differ.

Input on Shishska´s post: Absolutely is a female voice of interest! I´ll take it rather then nothing at all. Eventhough it only means a girl screaming instead of a male, when dying..lol. It´s better then nothing, and a great new touch to H3.

Nothing against having a girl character, but if the story been so far that Spartan 117 is the only one left.Then, he is the only Spartan left. To me if they change it saying oh they found another Spartan and he or she been fighting alone and survive is pretty much retarted. Its not realistic. But, I do feel the girls do need a female character to play and not being a boy. So, why not let them be Captain Miranda Keyes with Spartain armor (they had some extra Spartain armor I guess) or some kind of armor that is equal to the spartain armor and she will have no Helmet, but a baseball cap. There is a female character in the game but its like they are ignoring her. So, now there is a reason to have Captain Miranda Keyes in multiplayer. :)

Yeah i am assuming this female option would be a mulitplayer only thing. So you can pick being a girl in matchmaking simply, like it was in ghost recon 2.

The books reveal that some of the other Spartans did survive, and they are canon.
