Ever wonder who are the best video game players in the world? With "Inside the World Series of Video Games," MTV takes an in-depth look at what it takes to compete at the highest level to become a bona fide world champion. The show follows several aspiring top gamers as they vie with the best on the 2006 World Series of Video Games circuit from Sweden to China and across the USA. With over $1 Million in cash and prizes, sponsorships from companies like Intel and some top players like Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel launching their own line of products, playing games on the WSVG circuit has become the best job in the world.
This show will also air on MTV2 on Friday, 11/17 at 9 PM.

hmm i think its only for the one in china. i dont remember seeing film crew for mtv at the us WSVG. but im sure they will be at the finals

sadly there wasnt a full film crew at louisville, just a camera man doing b-roll shots.. but nothing major :\ they did a lot more at dallas however. Kinda sucks, since louisville was technicaly our (lanwar's) event and it would have been great to see our little lan we started 7 years ago on MTV ;)

Yes, footage from WSVG US events will be in this series, not sure what episode it will be in though, as each series is at another event! We we filmed alot at Dallas, even got us waking up in our room and MJ brushing her teeth, ROFL! However, the first show could easily be any of the events overseas we were not at as well, so I guess we will just got to watch and see! :p
P.S. Who can record this for us???!!!!!

Kinda odd how MTV doesn't play any music anymore, but oh well, I don't think i ever really watched it anyway hehe. This should be pretty cool regardless and can't complain about the additional exposure.

Mtv quit playing music years ago. Strange because thats all it used to be. Everytime I flip on VH1 is doesn't have music either....:confused:

im having a super hard time ripping the video thanks to tivos wonderful encryption :\ thre are ways around it posted on the web but im having far more trouble than someone as creative as me should have :p
as a backup I also have andrew from TSN Central helping me out. He recorded it to a normal dvr... so he has an un-encrypted rip to work with.. hopefully something in some way or another will be up tomorrow for you all, ill keep you posted.
You know sarg, for someone harassing me for not running linux on my little server i'm surprised you don't have a freevo setup for yourself ;-)

Twin, i doubt he can e-mail you a copy, it will probably be several hundred MB minimum, potentially much more. Snail mailing a DVD may be easier, or FTP.

I thought there was too much about Quake on the show, but it was still good to watch. There were quite a few of the girls on there. Off the top of my head, I remember Twin, C3lla, MJ, Tart, Atomica, Feday, and Stardust all making an appearance on there one way or another. I'm sure I missed some, but I don't know everyone. :)

Kentucky, Dallas, London, and something in Japan I think.
I wish they had more CS in it :( It was mostly Quake players opposed to their brief mention of Fnatic and MoB. They didn't really mention what PMS played as I recalled, just showed the Halo girls. There was one sick shot of Midol at BYOC tho :p haha

yeah, having moved from THE most heavily saturadted lan party region (louisville/ohio valley) where you can find a lan within 5 hours almost every weekend, now to Atlanta where there seems to be nothing at all is a shame :(
