It's official: The Giants Suck

Now, before I go on my rant, let me just say I have been a fan of the Giants for a few years, and I have always enjoyed their games. Never in my time as a fan have I felt so angry about a Giants loss.

Also, I do not encourage any trash talking to people about how one team is better or worse than another, and any fighting about anything like this will result in my request to have this thread locked. I want to have a good discussion. Fans are encouraged to post here to discuss their teams, but I request that discussions remain friendly.

That all being said, WTF Giants? I turned on the game after the end of the first quarter, and the Giants had a pretty decent 11-point lead over the Eagles, who had only scored a 3-point field goal. They played pretty good offense and defense, and the first half ended 24-3 for the Giants. The third quarter yielded them one more touchdown, but then the Eagles scored their first. Okay, 31-10 is not a bad lead. But then, once the Eagles got a taste of the end zone, they couldn't be stopped. In the fourth quarter, they scored not one, not two, but THREE touchdowns in 6 minutes and 14 seconds of regulation play.

Score now is 31-31. Game is almost over. Starting to look like overtime. There were 14 seconds left on the clock. The Giants were about to kick to the Eagles, and Matt Dodge (#6) was responsible for keeping the game alive by kicking the ball out of bounds. Instead, he kicked it straight to DeSean Jackson (#10) of the Eagles, who fumbled it, picked it back up, and ran a 65-yard return for the final touchdown of the game. Final score: 38-31. The way the game was played in the last quarter, it looked like Big Blue couldn't tell their asses from their elbows.

I am utterly baffled by this devastating loss, and am interested to know what the hell happened.

Eli Manning stopped playing the way he did in the start of the game, and Matt Dodge can only kick the ball, but he can't send it where he wants it to go. With players like this on the team, I think it's time for a lineup change.

Anyway, the point of all this is for me to get it off my chest, hear your opinions, and see if you still have faith in the Giants (or your team) getting to the playoffs this season.

DeSean did an amazing job running the ball on the kick return despite a sprained foot and a fumble :P

The Giants are overall a really good team, but the problem is that the team is unbalanced. The defense is incredible and the offense is average at best. They have done pretty well for the past few years, so they're expected to win. When they pretty much give away a 21-point lead, you know that won't happen again. It is a rarity, but not a mistake made twice by the same team.

Secondly, I think this is a clear sign that it's time to get rid of Eli Manning. There are a lot of really good QBs in college ball, and I think it's time Tom Coughlin took a look at them.

But I will remain a loyal Giants fan for as long as I can put up with the disappointment.

If the Falcons & Eagles end up facing off in the playoffs Falcons are gunna win, Last time the Patriots played the Eagles it was a straight up massacre..... All im saying is I have Money on the Pats and Falcons going to the Superbowl Theres no Arguement, the reason the Pats did so bad the first time they played the Eagles was because there weirnt focused at all.... after that loss they pretty much got there **** together and have been taking names ever sense. Im pretty sure the Eagles couldnt even get a touchdown... lmao the score I believe was 43-3 xD

Considering the Patriots barely beat a Green Bay team without Aaron Rodgers, I do not think the Patriots will get to the Super Bowl this year. All you have to do to stop the Patriots is play the pass. They are a severely 1 attack football team. They have no running game to speak of.

Patriots have played teams w/Top 10 scoring defense 9x this yr & are 8-1. Pats avg 29.6 pts in those games. All other avg 16.7 ppg. so they are going to the superbowl lets hope they win

I accept as true the New York Giants need a newfangled kicker. We can establish that, Ranyos. Now, we all knowledge of a high-quality team being competent among the four quarters of the game. The Giants; not so much this season.

Nonetheless, lets catch a glimpse of how now then your team plays at Green Bay on Sunday. It has been a good season so far
