Anyone try this game for Nintendo DS?

The follow-up to the incredibly addictive Japanese music game, Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan. This is the first game of the series to come to America.

The public knows of government agencies like the FBI and CIA, but little is known of this super-secret agency. Code-named "Elite Beat Agents", these men in black are heroes' heroes and the coolest group of guys this world has ever known. Of course, according to official records, they do not exist. Their leader, an ex-CIA agent named Commander Kahn, scans the world for cries of help. When he finds one, he dispatches the agents, who assist their targets by performing a song and dance. The hypnotic nature of their rocking revives the targets with "Groovy" energy that boosts their willpower and helps them overcome their obstacles. In each stage, the agents arrive in a special "Beat Transport" and must tap and trace patterns that appear on-screen to the beat of the music to save the day.

Kind of a silly premise for a game, but it's still fun. And the little story that goes on while you're playing is pretty cheesy. :p

I'm hoping someone drops this on my lap for christmas, looks like a really addictive game worth hours of fun and enjoyment. Theres too many things coming out lately though and if I bought it I've a feeling it would sit alongside my collection for some time. I'll probably pick it up in January before I head to VT for a week of snowboarding.. nights up there are cold and boring considering I stay in a house on a mountain in the woods surrounded by nothing and the closest form of entertainment is the dive bar my cousin owns.

I dont really get how you play it...

You tap the numbered spots on the screen as they blink in tune with the music. Some of them require you to hold down instead of tap them and others require you to trace a path with your stylus.

I got it for my cousin for christmas and played it a bunch. I've just about beaten it on the hardest difficulty now.. real fun game, but I'd be embarrased to play it in public. I have a nasty habbit of dancing with my stylus-holding hand during the pauses. I'm sure I look like a fool.. but I cant help it :D

I want to look into getting the Japanese version now.

This game is awesome... I just got the 3rd level of difficulty. And boy, it is SICK!!! XD I'm like rapidly tapping everywhere and oh snap, it's hard as heck... YMCA will always be the easiest song for me on ANY difficulty. That and September was always easy. X3

Underappreciated, underrated game. I've played this to the point of All-S ranks, and an All-300's on September Hard Rock...It lost most of its replay value after that, though. Maybe I'll clear it and give it to a friend as a gift. He's missing out.
