Craziest thing you've done for gaming!

Whether it be stealing a copy of Halo from your best friend, or taking a bullet for your 360, (hopfully not that crazy ;)) what is the craziest/most extreme thing you've done for gaming.

For me, it was crawling through 60 ft. of fiberglass insulation in my attic so I could run an ethernet cable from my router to my tv so I could play on XBL. Fiberglass splinters HURT!

mine isnt that crazy i just switched my controller wich had busted analog sticks for a brand new one at a lan and then i left haha

I waited 10 hours outside of Best Buy to get my 360 and it started raining after about 5 hours. Good times.

The craziest thing I've ever done involves waiting for my 360, but nowhere near as long. I went to Wal-Mart twice and probably only waited about a combined 5 hours. They handled it about as bad as they could have, but I walked out holding my 360 very close to me, so I was happy. :)

i waited in line for halo 2 + I have done the controller switcher-o at lan parties.
Im sure theres something crazier but i cant think of it now. :-/

Being 1st in line and camping out on the sidewalk of circuit city from 4:30 pm to 9:30am the next morning at 29 degrees for my 360.Lest just say that the krystals down the road got alot of my attention for their hot chocolate.My bro was 2nd in line and my cousin was 3rd so we took turns in and out watching each others seats so we could go and get some food/drinks/get warm otherwise lol.
Best part about it was i walked out with 3 lol.OWNED!

The two things:

Waiting outside 17 hours for my 360 at launch - 7:30 am to midnight.

And buying a SECOND Jaguar CD drive when my first one died, putting the dead one in the box, and returning it. (Yes, it was probably not the most ethical thing to do, but I was a college student and short on money. I wouldn't do it again though)

I had two my self:

1. For my 360 i had it all planned out 2 weeks ago here was my plan:
- I had to rush through a math test i had in the mourning at 8:00am i got done at 8:30am lol.
- Drove to my walmart found out i was the first one there woot :)
- They made me sit over in lay-a-way
- I called up my friend troy since they only had 2 premiums
- Around 6 pm a hot walmart lady w8ted with us which is now my friends girl friend she was awesome lol.
- W8ted til Midnight and then tons of people started showing
- Finally secruity brought me and my friend out to our cars

2. I know this is stupid yet i thought the game was going to be popular i guess i was wrong. I w8ted from 5 am til 9 am to get Fable yet me and my friend loxim were the only 2 in line lol.

I got up at 6AM, just to stand in queue from 7AM to 10AM in order to get my Xbox 360 on the European launch day. It was the only store around these parts who wasn't taking preorders, so there were quite a bunch of people. Most eager one was a Swede who had arrived at 4AM, then a dad and some kids right before us, then me and my friends.

But I was amongst the lucky ones who got a regular system, those who arrived at 8AM got stuck wtih a Core :P

Oh, and I also stood about one and a half hours in queue for World of Warcraft on the 10th of February 2005 (game was released the 11th)

I reserved 3 xbox 360 and paid way far in advance for 2 just to make sure I'd get at least one.

I got my halo xbox modded so I could play more games, I know it's illegal so I guess that was extreme.

I called in sick 2 days in a row after halo 2 came out and will probably do worse when Halo 3 comes out.

Waited 12 hours in Walmart (lol, I wanted to go somewhere with alot of people) for my xbox360. :D wow, stayed there till 12:00AM. :eek:

i didnt have to wait for my 360, my dad did! lol hahahahha, but it was for like half an hour.

but the biggest thing would have to be 1. i traded in my original black xbox, just so i could get the halo green xbox, i basically lost 100 bucks.

2. almost lose all my friends last summer because all i did was play xbox live and never go to anyones houses.

well, i got my 360 taken away....soOoOo i went to my buddies house illegally to play xbl, at the time, practice was very important, and missing it means letting my team down. owell im not apart of a team now. but it was pretty krazy

Well.......i didn't wait at all because back even before there was a release date i reserved mine at eb games(20 bucks down-may 15th) and simply went back and claimed it.

As for crazy i bought 2 steel battalion kits so the game would sell even better-capcom said anyone could use their controller sadly no 1 did so now all it's good for is system link line of contact.

Obviously i'm waiting on chromehounds as i really enjoy mech games-wish you could use capcom's 40+ controller-it's the ultimate hardcore mech controller.

Some1 even told me in a gundam cockpit the self destruct is in the same spot as eject is on the sb controller....nice touch.

If some1 ever tried to use my 360 pads...well i doubt you could as they've been re-wired per my spec. (right stick,face buttons,left stick and d-pad+ all vibration was removed from my wireless pads)
