So I recieved a dazzle recorder thingy that I was going to use for recording gameplay from PS3 since I had a standard def tv.. but.. I ended up getting an HDTV (yay!), and now I don't know what to do with the dazzle, because I dunno if I could still record or anything, or if I should try and return it to amazon or sell it on there & get something different.

hmm... is there a standered connection on it? for RGB? if so maybe you can plug in the HDMI to the dazzle then connect the RGB to the tv and see if it works.

You can still record, but you will have to record and play in SD!.. Well you don't, there are some videos on youtube that tell ya how to play in HD but record in SD.

The next capture card up from a dazzle is a HD pvr but that;s about $180.

I'd go with the HD video recorder if you can afford it. I posted in another thread, but I use a hauppage hd-pvr. So far its about the best/easiest thing going in my opinion.
