Ok folks i hope to return to pc gaming but for that i need a new motherboard. To make this as least expensive as possible i just want to replace the motherboard and not end up rebuilding a pc/buying stuff i can reuse. So im hoping someone could link me to a good motherboard that will work with:
Processor:AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.3GHz
Memory:2048MB PC2-4200 ddr2 ram (2x1gb sticks)
Video Card:NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GS
Power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341017&cm_re=ocz_600w_power_supply-_-17-341-017-_-Product

My old motherboard is this one here:
http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=prodmbspec&maincat_no=1&cat2_no=&cat3_no=&prod_no=1415#

So if anyone can give a good recommendation for a new motherboard that will work with that stuff please feel free to post links here

What are you planning on playing??

With the other gear you got, I would not spend very much at all: Here one:

http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=40887&vpn=K9N6PGM2%2DV2&manufacture=MSI%2FMicroStar&promoid=1260

It'll work with AM2 socket, it has a PCI-E slot for your 7300 GS (which is VERY old btw), and will handle up to 4GB of DDR2 800. It's all you need...and it's less then 50 bucks. It'll get you up and running. But I would suggest if you wanna get into the more modern games like Black Ops, Bad Company2, Starcraft II and the such....start planning a new build.
