If you ever played DOTA and loved it try this! Its an RTS game where you play with a champion of your selection in a 5v5 or 3v3 setting. There are many characters too choose from and they have 10 characters rotating every week for you to try out. The more games you win the more experience and influence points(points you can spend on upgrades and new characters). The game is wildly addicting, so give it a try and fall in love.

If you sign up here also using that link I get your referrals which result in rewards! :D

I'll just stick with Heroes of Newerth where people who spend loads on the cash shop don't get an advantage.

i would definitely not say it's an RTS. It's like the RTS genre but completely different IMO. But yeah it's amazing, and Raevn that's incorrect, every week when they switch out theres always good Champions in the selection, there isn't an advantage, and every champion has strengths and weaknesses, just depends on what you like and how skilled you are at the game overall.

Also here's a really good site for talent speccing and glyphs and overall tips for all the champions:

There is quite a bit of micromanaging for a few characters, I view it as an RTS/RPG in a sense. Technically, 5 units on the field, you work all together with strategies in real time to win the game. oh wait :P

yeah but you aren't in control of all 5 of those characters, just one. I do consider it similar because of the push to move and over the top view and etc, but no where near the classic "RTS genre". Plus i like 3v3's i hate 5v5's haha

LOL U.

There is NOTHING in the cash shop that makes anyone horribly overpowered if they spend money on them, NOTHING.

All I see there are EXP/IP boosts, and even then, it does nothing to the game balance itself.

Yeah the game has great balance, or they try to keep it balanced...if something is OP they patch it by the next week. The ranking system has a character banning system as well up to 4 characters if you feel that combination would make the enemy team seem overpowered.

HoN is just overly-complicated, and overly-serious.

Besides, I don't want to pay a fee to play what was once free anyways.

Overly complicated how? The only different mechanic is that HoN retains denying.

I personally moved from HoN to LoL. I have spent alot of money on LoL buying new characters and skins and bundles. But its my guilty pleasure and I love it.
