Announcing the Verizon, PlayLinc and Nadeo $40,000 dollar Track Mania Nations Tournament!
It is with a TON of excitement (and not just because I had to put this all together) that I bring this news to you all! The details have been weeks in the making, and I have arranged for this forum to get an EXCLUSIVE 2 hour early press release about the event, before it goes public world wide :)
We 3 have partnered together to bring an AWESOME tournament for Trackmania Nations for the PC that ANYONE can enter into, and leaves room for anyone, new and experienced alike, to win. Once again setting the bar for gaming competition to include everyone, even the casual gamer, at a chance to win big! Tournament Qualifications run from October 27, 2006 to November 14, 2006! There will be 6 qualifying tracks – Race as often as you can and PlayLinc Stats tracking will record your progress. You must beat the qualifying time for all 6 tracks during the qualification period in order to qualify for the tournament! Once the two week windoe has passed, every racer who has completed gold on ALL 6 qualifier tracks will go into the Elimination round, no mater the number of people!
On November 16th for 24 hours all qualified racers can race on track #7. The top 5,000 best times will move on to the next round
On November 17th for 24 hours all qualified racers can race on track #8. The top 2,500 best times will move on to the next round
On November 18th for 24 hours all qualified racers can race on track #9. The top 1,000 best times will move on to the finals.
The finals round will begin on the 19th. for 5 hours the final map will be on all servers, for you to practice on. After that time, we will run 100 10 man races. Your times will be posted on the site and emailed to you.
The top 3 people from each race will move on, those 300 will race again in groups of 10. The top 3 will once again move on. this will continue untill 9 racers are picked, top 3 from the final 10 races. a 10th racer, the fastest time of the remaining 81, will also be chosen.
These 10 will race in the finals. The winner will recieve 20,000 dollars cash. 8,000 will go to second place, 5,000 to third, and 1,000 to 4th though 10th.
The qualifiers will be in Time Attack mode. The Eliminators will all be run in Rounds mode.
