I'm looking for a gamercard/videocamera. Something I could take good quality videos with and make a nice montage. But also use as a digital video camera when the time's right. Any suggestions?

I have one of those Flip HD video camera's it's pretty small and you would def want to get the tripod that goes with it but it doesn't do to bad if the room is well lit. Other than that I honestly don't know.

I think we got it for like $180 or something. It's going to be difficult to find a camera that takes really good video's when you record TV but so far out of my experience this is about the best one I have found.

your best bet would be to get a dedicated capture card rather than using a video camera to record your screen. HD PVR offers HD quality recordings but also comes at a high price.

I agree with MVP, you're probably better off getting a capture card. I think the lowest price for one with HD is this http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5523203&SRCCODE=GOOGLEBASE&cm_mmc_o=VRqCjC7BBTkwCjCECjCE

yeah a hauppage hd pvr is pretty good, if u order from the website it will be like 200-250 maybe im not sure. But if u wanna save some money u could check on ebay for some capture cards, just make sure they actually work!!! lol

The PCI express card linked above is probably the best quality for the money, but keep in mind it will use your computer's CPU for the video encoding.
Does your PC have a decent processor? If not you may want to consider a USB capture device, as they have dedicated on board video encoders.
