I think you might be talking about the Halo Wars trailer. Anyways back on topic, that really does suck about the movie. =(

They're still going to make it, While the exit of two studios would seem to imperil "Halo," Kamins said Microsoft is already in talks with other distribution partners. Prep work on the film continues, he said. One advantage is having Jackson and Walsh as exec producers: Most of the pre-production is being done at their visual effects studios in New Zealand, Weta Digital and Weta Workshop, so there will be no stoppage.

It hasn't officially been cancled, they're still continuing with the production process.

All ive heard is that Universal and Fox pulled out because of money issues...But Peter Jackson and company are still with it, so its not dead yet

but, it will still be made, i wouldn't worry to much about it.

As a non-interested voice, it isn't such bad news.

It will probably just come out later than expected and have Harry Hill as Master Chief.
