ok, for my senior project, i am probably going to be writing up, and creating a video game based magazine. and we are required to have a mentor that has something to do with the certain thing we are doing.
i was wondering if anyone on here is 21 or over, has a profession in writing, or graphic design, or just basic layouts of something, anything that you can think of that has to do with magazine's. the mentor also has to go through a background check (which is dumb and i disagree with).
if anyone has any recommendations of people, could you inform them about me, and i can contact them. they don't have to live anywhere near me, just anywhere in the world.
please can you guys help me with this, i love you forever! =]]]

I know your pain..sort of.
My school's senior projects are to do 20 hours of community service and then make a presentation about it.
Yes. This was all a well-disguised thread bump to help you out.

I would say you can try Dennis McCauley, the editor of gamepolitics, if it doesnt require too much work. I have asked him for some help before and he was able to help me out. Whether he can help you or not, I can not say, but its an idea to consider. It never hurts to ask.

Well I'm not degreed but I have been writing for a long time, and I did major in Creative Writing and minor in English in college (I'm 28). Most of my writing these days is political blogging or blogging about video games, and my husband is also a writer with a Journalism degree. Incidentally, I've also had my background checked by the Department of Justice in Wisconsin and the FBI, and both recently. I just received the Wisconsin one last week and it was clean, stamped "no record." I haven't received the FBI response yet but it will be clean as well. I have to do all this because I'm going through Canadian Immigration at the moment, and I don't have a lot of time right now because I'm looking for a job, but I'd be happy to help with what I can.
If worst comes to worst, go yell at Twin..didn't she just talk about a big atricle she wrote up for some major website?
