Blackberry peeps! I need some help!

For a while, I was able to sign onto MSN Messenger on my Tour using my main Hotmail account. All the sudden, I can't login and I get "Unexpected Server Error, please try again later" on my phone. However, I can sign onto MSN on my laptop using that same account and have no problems.

I decided to sign onto my secondary MSN account on my laptop. When I signed it, it said my main account was actually logged into my phone, even though its obviously not. I also tried using my secondary account and signed in on my phone with no problems as well.

I've gone through the main account's settings and everything on my actual Hotmail account and to no avail, still cannot sign on MSN messenger on my phone. Any ideas as to why?

*I have the latest version for my phone, the Blackberry Tour 9630, and the service book is still there for MSN as well....

1. Pull the battery. If you already have, procede to step 2.

2. Update the data profile on your blackberry. To do this, go to the network settings, select your network, hit your menu key, then "start provisioning". If that doesn't work, go to step 3.

3. Do you sync your phone with your laptop? If not, get the disc that came with your blackberry -- run it on your laptop. You'll need the sync cable that came with it to.


Run the software and install -- takes about 15-20 minutes, it'll seem like it froze at one point. It didn't.

Connect your blackberry via the sync cable

Select "Backup" and save the file to your desktop on your computer -- this will back everything up on your tour.

Select "Application Loader", then "Update Software". This will update your Tour to version 5.0 (I'm assuming it isn't already). (you should do a software update anyway, so this part is just for your blackberry's benefit anyway)

During the software update, DO NOT DISCONNECT YOUR PHONE FOR ANY REASON!!!

After the software update, select "Restore" and select the file that you saved to your desktop.

Once complete, pull the battery out of your phone, put it back in, and try again.
