In recent days I have become utterly disgusted with the outpour of unsportsmenlike conduct and inappropriate behavior of our supposed sporting idols. The conduct of the University of Miami's football team was completely uncalled for and IMO deserved much harsher punishment. If you were unaware of what transpired, at the end of the game vs. Florida International, a fight broke out in the middle of the field. Both sides punched, kicked, swung helmets, and stomped on their oponents. Even after the brawl the Miami team gathered together and then CELEBRATED on their sideline.

This kind of lawlessness should not be tolerated at all. What was the outcome? Whereas Florida International removed offenders off their team, Miami suspeneded a handful of players for their next game against "ACC powerhouse Duke" /sarcasmoff. I have personally played Collegate football and am ashamed to see fellow "peers" act in such a manner, and not get punished appropriatly. It's my opinion that Larry Coker (Head Coach) and all severe offenders be removed from the program completely. It is the head coaches job to lead his team and teach them the fudamentals of proper edicate and procedure. This was obviously not done. Hell Miami WON the game!! WALK OFF THE FIELD >.>

Mike Tyson announced that in his upcoming World Tour, he is willing and wants to fight female opponents. Seriously Mike, it's time. Check yourself into the looney bin and never show your face on TV and tabloids again.

Well maybe the money and status makes them feel supperior and above all moral laws?
I remember seeing a tennisgame as a child, when McEnroe missed a serve..and started yelling cursewords at a breastfeeding mother in the audience, her baby had "cried and made him miss the serve". I was so shocked then i remember, nowadays itīs soo common with sportsmen acting like aliens on superior-drugs.

Btw, Tyson is simply embarrassing..seriously. Has anyone taken him serious the last 10 years?

McEnroe has a long history of unsportsmenlike conduct and he's payed dearly for it. Which makes it obvious that the reprimands didnt work...or that his temper is just way out of control.

That miami/florida incident was horrible though. The hitting is one thing, but kicking and stomping with cleats...they obviously wanted to do some damage. I agree: they should be out of the league for good.

When I saw the footage I couldn't believe, it - but e-sports don't necessarily end up guaranteeing any better results - just less tendency for physical harm. Unsportsman-like conduct is equally, if not more, a problem with e-sports because of their relative anonomynity. Its a real shame, but fortunately for the most part on the professional level with e-sports the actions have been just that, professional. I hope that football game incident never occurs again, it is a major detriment to the sport in general - I also agree the punishment was not nearly harsh enough if it was just a one game suspension.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the footage either. It is one thing to fight, but it's another to fight with your helmets and stomping on other people. One of the guys had their helmet knocked off and he got stomped on. Disrgraceful.

Did anyone get to see Troy Polomalu (sp?) from Pittsburg get dragged down and then picked up by his hair, apparently its illegal to tackle by the hair.

It's Polamalu, but close enough. :) Anyways, I saw it from highlights, but I didn't think the guy who tackled him got penalized for it. It's Troy's own fault for having all of that hair. :)

It was Larry Johnson who tackled him. It's very legal to tackle by your hair, Larry should have let go when he got up though lol. LJ has a bad temper

I think sports, in general, have gone down in the last 10 years. The guys and girls used to be world-class athletes, and most actually had respect for the game. It seems like many athletes today just think about the fame and money and not the love of the sport they're playing for. Pretty sad stuff..
