The same thing happened with Halo 2, they had pre-release dates for March.... they fell through, dates for June.... fel through, September... fell through.... Don't bank on it. Last time they didn't even know what the cover looked like.

Do you belive everything you read on the internet(s)?

Im takin' everything with a grain of salt untill I hear it straight from Bungie's mouth's.

You didn't know Gamestop is owned by Bungie? Of course they know.

I remember when I saw a release date on there once and was like O.O. Went to the store to pick it up, cuz I had the game preorder'd, whos title is eluding me at the moment. But when I ask to purchase it, the counter guy looked at me like o.O? L0L. Gamestop Sux in release date times.

The way the system works (i think) is that in order to accept pre-orders, the system needs a date specified.. Not sure if they just pick one at random, or if there is some system for these dates they choose....

Notice that the date is the end of Q1 2007, they'll probably change to the end of June as we approach the end of March and so on. Just a theory.

That's exactly what's happening. They only know it's going to be released in 2007, so they're going to put it's release date at the end of each quarter of the year, and adjust it as more information is known so as to allow them to accept preorders.

Also, kind of a funny note, back in about August, Halo 3 was slated for a November 15, 2006 release on not only Gamestop, but IGN. That freaked me out a bit until they updated it.

Just think of the people down town when this will be realise. It will be packed i can tell yea that. Just like when Halo 2 first came out.

I don't trust those dates til the date of release. I've seen the dates on gamestop.com change all the time. Even if the release dates they have are confirmed by the publisher the date could still change.
