Tethering xbox?

Hey starting on the 1st ill be at my parents with no way to hard wire my xbox to the net. Has anybody ever tried to play online with a tethered connection through a laptop? I know its possible but i wanna know if its even worth me going through the hassle of doing it.

oddly enough i was able to do it when i had vista. but since switching to windows 7 i can't seem to ever get it to work.

It is possible, it will just make your NAT strict. It is actually very simple though. Look it up first then decide how much trouble it is. I used to do it with my Mac and it worked fine.

BOOO time to re install vista then :( Ive done it before just to check voice message... never to actually game though

i'd check your options b4 you decide to go the installing vista route. i'm sure win 7 can handle, just figure it out

hassle? how were u connecting after u hardwired the 360..literly took me 2 minutes and it was up, never disconnects me, only when i forget when I turn my laptop off, and go "dope!" netflix comes to end..
