yep thats right australia rocks... i just got my full version game from EB games down the road from me 2 days before release date....
im cheerin'
BUT........
i cannot start a server or join one because a message comes on my screen saying my bf2142 version is too old.. and in the new section its saying welcome to the beta...
obviously EA has put the beta on the DVDs/CDs and you have to get their release patch to start playing on ranked servers...
but i still can try out a few diff maps from the demo on single player...
oh yeh for those who have played the demo.. the defibrilator bf2 medics have is now an unlock for the bf2142 assault class... NERF!!!!
but anyway bf2142 is gona be a great "mod" for bf2 lol...
SAME GAME DIFFERENT WEAPONS....
oh yeh let me gloat in how awesome living in australia is and how i got bf2142 before release date (which all australians did too lol)

Ummm....
Its a totally different game for one. Its not a mod, but regardless if you got it before us,(which I doubt) you would still need to wait when all the others release tomorrow. In order to enjoy online play.

enjoy your loads of spyware. I am a hard core BF fan, and have been waiting on pins and needles for this game, but after reading what i saw today, it will not be installed on any of my personal machines. Only my work one, and only because my job requires that I do so.
it is loaded down with a plethora of spyware that scans your cookies, web history, and search history, so that it can deliver targeted ads in game at you.
I knew all along that the ingame adds were there, billboards, signs, etc, were dynamic when playing online and would change periodicaly, much like the ones in nadeos TrackMania Nations, however no one was prepared for the bombshell today that imbedded, required spyware was also included, to deliver targetged content.
I am sorely dissapointed with EA, and promptly canceled my preorder this afternoon.

not quite sure how thats possible.. i know people in house at EA that didnt even get their own CDs of it till last week... heck it only went gold less than a month ago.
My friend got it too. IDK how but I was watching him play it.

sometimes you cant though. sometime i bet it will be embedded in the game's write up so that you cant play it unless its in there. i cant really explain what im getting at....but i hope you get the jift. :P but yea, kinda like a "incert CD 1 to play" sorta thing.

WTF??? i never said it was bf2...... i got the dvd 2 days before australian release which was 1 day before usa release (well gotta blame us being closer to the international dateline)

Lol And? Didn't matter if you got the game first or not, no one could play online until the patch was released. So, if you got it a week or a day in advance wouldn't matter. =/
But the game is awesome, no doubt about that. Still waiting for them to fix some of the bugs left in it.

actually i could play the game before release just couldnt on ranked servers..... and yeh nah nah na nah nah i got it 1st :P

I like this game alot....BUT ( oh no not but! ) i feel that this game is so buggy that it actually takes away from the game. The fact that you can jump through walls, shoot enemies through walls, get massive lag when people move the titans which makes it un-playable, have to knife a guy thats lying right next to you five times before he dies, defending the titan then all of a sudden you fall through it near the console. Theres tons more :(. Also, sadly the balance of weapons is bad, sure its the future but when a support guy with 60+ bullets can snipe you 300m away with pinpoint accuaracy and your trying to snipe him with 3 bullets in one mag, why not give the sniper like 2 more bullets atleast to counter the super accurate support gun :(. I hate to hate this game because i do like it, its fun. But for me it feels like a downgrade from battefield 2..... I guess in the future we forget jets for mechs :(

there is an easy solution to this problem i learn earlier on.. TITAN MODE SUX A$$ so don't play it
