Well on Saturday, we had tarballs wash up for the first time since the oil spill. It was confirmed today, that it came from the oil spill here's the article on it: Tarballs found in Galveston (http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/7096109.html) about 15 gallons on our beach, this seriously angers me. The whole operation BP is running angers me.
BP is just saying "oh well they have 50 miles of beach covered in tarballs so this not unprecedented." Well mr. BP man I know for a fact my beaches were not covered in tarballs last year. Dips**t liar.
I feel so bad for the animals, and fish. There has been an increase of the pelican population here where I live, due to us not having as much oil as other places, I went to visit the marine wildlife reserve last week, to see if they needed volunteers, they told me not yet, but probably soon, to help clean up, and clean the animals.
Its heartbreaking.

I live in Florida but so far the oil hasn't really affected the area I'm in but there is still a lot of controversy and different opinions on the matter.

The past 2 months I’ve been on tour and haven’t followed the news. What’s with all the photos of chocolate pelicans?
It will probably keep going well into December, but hopefully they find a way to stop it. You can't help but feel crappy, when you see pictures and videos from the Gulf Coast.

EVERYONE should watch that second video!! Thank you for posting that!
Everyday I open the video of the oil gushing into the Gulf waters. Why... Why do I look, everyday? The same reason that I cry watching people have to collect birds to clean them. We don't know what affects this will have on us in years to come, and oh it'll still be affecting us.
People think we can do whatever the hell we want to the oceans, to the land, and it's okay, it'll be okay.
It's not okay. It'll never be okay, and it makes me angry, it makes the citizens of the Gulf region VERY angry. My aunt lives down there, in Florida, on the Gulf. Ovaryacting, Death is Logic, Phury, all of you who live down there... I feel for you. It's utterly disgusting.
And the oil keeps raging on... everyday. They clean up, they clean up, they dump more chemicals into the oceans, yet it still rages on. Grrr.....

I was sitting in the Chow Hall the other day, and saw this on the news at day like 64 or something. It was the first I heard of it and made me feel bad.

Chow hall- you must be military.
Anyway. It saddens me to see such devastation on both wildlife and families down there. What angers me is this- BP spent ( 50 million or billion) on their new ad campaign in order to try and redeem their name, stating they were doing everything they could to resolve the problem, sending their apologies. That's a load- if they were doing everything, that 50 mil or bil should have gone to fixing it.
My prayers go to everyone and everything touched by this disaster. I think BP needs to own up and get their act together and whoever thought building a pipline below the ocean's surface on a FAULT line, needs to do more homework next time...
