MW2: Which maps do YOU hate those most. Which do you love

For me, honestly, i cant stand Estate. Or Overgrown. Estate because, its jsut huge. It takes forever (if you dont have marathon, lightweight) to run anywhere lol Overgrown, because theres someone always camping in "Gramma's House" but, when that happens, i put on my Spas class with scavenger and claymores, pop a claymore under those steps, and sit behind my claymore, under the stairs and shotgun everyones faces off who try to go in there lol.
As for what maps i love, i would have to sayyy... Salvage, and Terminal. I always do very well on both of those maps.

Man theirs alot of maps i dislike, like Derail, Underpass, Wasteland, Overgrown, Fuel and Carnival. The reason i dont like Derail, Overgrown and Fuel is because they are way to big, Underpass is too dark, Wasteland is too open and Carnival, i cant get used to it

I dont hate any maps just some that i like to play a lot more than others. from the bottom of my list are Overgrown, Estate, Wasteland, Derail. out of those bottom ones the main problem is the people that always camp inside the houses especially in Derail. its not as bad as a problem since most of the time the house campers are easy to fool and kill.

Favorites are (from the top on down): Terminal, Bailout, Highrise, Salvage, Karachi, Invasion. the rest are in the middle in the "its ok" category lol.

MW2 Original Maps

Afghan: I love this map. It's great and has a number of areas to control. You can rush the middle, or move around and control the perimeter. The map has high and low points, which makes it a fun map with different advantage points.

Derail: I'm not very fond of this map. It's massive for one, and you'll find that a lot of Snipers will camp this map. Also most people will just rush the middle building with Shotguns and sit up there all game.

Estate: I actually like this map. Again it has the high and low points, and it also has a few areas you can control. You can control the Mansion, boat house, or C flag. You can also lock people in the Mansion. I don't know, I just love the way this map is made. There are a lot of great places to control areas from, lots of cover from cars and rocks too.

Favela: I used to hate this map, but I'm getting used to it. The middle is a headache, it's all campers with akimbo rangers/models or shotguns. There are so many windows and areas to be killed from, I usually stay away from the middle. Domination B flag is not my favorite to capture, but essential to victory none the less. I like to run around the perimeter of the map, and A flag is my preferred spawn.

Highrise: I like this map as well, it's pretty even. It is very easy to Spawn Trap someone on this map, but it's great for sniping and controlling the map with a good team and communication. I hate when people run underground in the lower path, but it keeps you honest and makes you have to cover that area. With a good team, you should never be worried about being flanked.

Invasion: While this too is a map full of buildings and corners, I happen to like this map. It's pretty spread out, and makes for a better atmosphere than the tight pathways of Favela. Each building has it's own areas to defend from, and it's an overall fun map. I do hate when people camp the US Embassy though, but you can take them out of the picture by not going near the middle path or down the right side (Facing embassy).

Karachi: To be honest, I've grown tired of this map. This is all H2O likes to play these days. It too has really tight lanes, much like Favela. There are some open spots, and I usually take control of the 3 story building, it essentially controls the entire Market, Clock Tower, Enemy Spawn, Middle B Flag, Your Spawn, and A Flag. I think it's A Flag at least... with all the cars lol.

Quarry: This map can be hit and miss. I tend to stay away from the middle, as you can be hit from high spots, and I don't go up the Pipe Side. I usually attack Tanker wings, and control the entire half of the map.

Rundown: I love this map, it has essentially 3 ways to get across enemy lines. If you can control the 3 bridges, you can dominate the game. Communication is key on this map.

Rust: A beautiful map. It's small, but it really focuses in on your ability to run and gun. Or just Gun really. If you can find cover on this map, and control 1/4 of the map, you can consider yourself a winner.

Scrapyard: Great map. There are a lot of lanes, many of them under cover, and it allows for flanking and close quarter gunning. If you don't have an organized team watching each side though, you can easily be flanked which can be frustrating. I love taking over Building 2 & 3. There is great cover, and essentially you can control 3/4 of the map.

Skidrow: I'm not fond of this map at all. If you don't control the staircase hallway by the Tunnel, you can consider yourself a lost cause. Unless you camp the back of your spawn, or can force a spawn swap- you lost. It's also so close quarter. I'm great with a shotgun, don't get me wrong. But MLG bans them, so I try to play without it. But of course, Akimbo Rangers/Models (Also Banned) or the AA-12 always find a way into a public match.

Sub Base: I like this map too. Haha, I feel like I've said that a lot. Controlling either the Computer Rooms or Warehouse are the keys to victory. It is difficult to control both, but if you control one, you can take over the roof of the other and slowly push up behind them- essentially spawn trapping them. It's both open and close quarter.

***Terminal***: MY FAVORITE MAP! Burger Town and the Main Hallway are property of H2O Hamlet. Attempting to even come those ways is suicide. And you can ask anyone that has ever played against that Gamer Tag. Your best bet when against me is to rush plane and try to flank me- but if my team is communicating I'll control escalators as well.

Underpass: I happen to really like this map. Again, highs and lows are everywhere. Sometimes it's annoying when people just camp back and Snipe with Thermals, but I'll just rush the perimeters and get into your sniping hot spots with ease. As for it being dark, you should try to brighten your settings on this map- it makes it more visible. That's a little trick I learned back on GRAW.

Wasteland: I used to hate this map, but I've learned to just pick up my Sniper Rifle and have fun. That's all this map is, sniping. There are the occasional gunners, especially in the middle tunnels, but for the most part it's so open and vast, you won't make it far without getting scoped. So I just pulled mine out, and made it even.

I'll do the other maps later. When I get back from this weekend. But just a heads up, Fuel is HUGE- not a fan. Plus the rock glitch makes it rather annoying.

I hate estate, sooo much. I usually back out if it doesnt get voted off when im playing alone. Especially on search & destroy.

I love me some Terminal and highrise though.

my faves change all the time, but the consistent ones seem to be Terminal, Karachi, Trailer Park and Carnival

mmm terminal. I've grown quite fond of it due to the fact that when I'm with my GW group, they absolutely love it & spawn trap at a. I loveloveLOVE scrapyard, no matter what game mode, I can at least go positive, because I've got it memorized where everyone goes. Favela isn't too bad for s&d, which I don't mind, but everything else.. ehh. everybody that spawns at c always tubes into the middle building :/. but I'm definitely hoping that vacant is as fun as it was earlier today on CoD4. :)

I hate all of them, lol, so I can't leave any game cause each one I hate, so I just play them.

There's some I favor more over others but I still hate them all. I do like Overgrown and Crash cause it was my fav in CoD4, but I really hate them now along with the others because of the crazy killstreaks and unlimited grenade launchers and ect ect.

I lovveee Wasteland. Salvage I tend to do pretty good on, Terminal is great sometimes. & I do hateeee estate, although I do like it for search and destroy. But I would agree my least favorite is Overgrown.

So much hate for Estate! That's my favorite map if you have a good communicating team. Also I love Terminal and Sub Base. Claymores, Claymores, Claymores. My least favorite is Wasteland, and in the newer maps Fuel and Strike are pretty bad too. Close combat with tight corners is a lot easier for my camp-and-make-marshmallows strategy.

I used to love Underpass until it turned into a toober fest. I cant walk anywhere without *thooonk.. BOOOOOM* in my ears. and for whatever reason, you cant toob snipers out of the green warehouse at the top of the map. its like that room gives you juggernaut blast shield or something

I used to hate Wasteland, but I just grab my Barrett and sit in the left corner of the cemetary and watch both corners. or I'll sit amidst the rafters of the broken house just in front of the cemetary and keep an eye on the shrubs and tunnels. I dont like the map, but I dont HATE it anymore

same with Estate. I'll either lay prone on top of the greenhouse, sit in the window of the snowmobile garage, or I'll sit behind the tree across from the front door of the house... for reasons I cant explain, ppl never seem to find me until I'm around a 7 or 8 killstreak

I liked Overgrown in CoD4, but I hate it now. I was so excited to see it come back, and now I feel crushed. luckily, Vacant is still amazing. they changed up the lighting ALOT, so it makes the hallways harder to see down, but it doesnt ruin it

I love Trailer Park. I dunno if its my southern white trash DNA bonding with the map, but I always do good
