This is thread is about STEPHEN KING and HIS books. Please stick to this author and the books he has made.

The Dark Tower Series I think this is probably one of the best series of books I have read so far and I am not even started on the last one. There are 7 for those unfamiliar with the series. So far I would have to say out of the 6 have really grabbed me like no other books or series. I really love the fact that the Dark Tower series ties in to so many other of his works. Black House(I own but have not read, has the most connections) Salem's Lot, The Stand, The Eyes of the Dragon, Skeleton Crew (The Mist short story), Everything's Eventual(this short story and also the Little Sisters of Eluria short story in the book)The Talisman, IT, Regulators, Insomnia, Desperation, Rose Matter, Bag of Bones, From a Buick 8, and Hearts in Atlantis.

I also enjoyed the book CELL
Its not one of his very best in my opinion, but I still loved it.

I own all 7 Dark tower books and these
Cell
Desperation
The Shining
Everything's Eventual
The Green Mile
Dreamcatcher
Needful Things
Black House
Hearts In Atlantis
From A Buick 8
Four Past Midnight

I have not read them all but I will eventually. I will obtain all of Stephen King's works one day. I have some of his movies also.

PLEASE DO NOT POST ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS IN THE LAST DARK TOWER BOOK(I have not read it yet)

You're in for a treat in the 7th book. I remember when i was reading the series, i had to wait about 6 months for the seventh book to come out and i had it preordered. But yea, i've read all the DT books and all the "connecting" books as well. Most more than once. His latest book Under the Dome was a fun read too.

I have had the 7th for a couple years now lol. With the internet around my reading has suffered..and so has my grammar lol. I really need to make some time to read.

I've only read the first three and it's been amazing, third book I couldn't do anything for an entire day I was so enthralled. I can't wait to get started on the rest of them. Ultimate Dream: The Dark Tower: The Video Game!?! If it's done right this would be so awesome, in all caps!!!! AWESOME!!!! /Sigh

I remember feeling that it was a really interesting ride with what seemed to be an unsure destination when reading the first 3. The Wizard and the Glass(book 4) really started to git it on a solid path. After I got to book 6 I remember reading an interview from King that if I remember correctly he really wasn't sure where he wanted to take the story till book 4. So it made sense.

Your in luck..There is a sort of video game called Discordia on the site at the bottom. It has spoilers in it so I won't try to get into it until I read the last book. I also want to mention there is mouse point and shoot type gameplay...unfortunately for me I can't use a mouse to shoot things to safe my life lol

I just wanted to test out to see what it was exactly. Enjoy everyone.

It's taken me over a decade but I'm finally on Book 7 now. It all started when my sister's boyfriend bought me the 4th book, Wizard and Glass, for Christmas (probably just thought the cover looked cool and grabbed it off the shelf, lol). I read it and thoroughly enjoyed it, and wanted to get the other books, but life got in the way and I forgot about it. Then I decided to join the Doubleday book club and saw they had the first, third, and fourth books, but not the others. I read the first one and was stuck there until my hubby bought me the rest off of Amazon. Then I started reading it last year and am now just starting book 7. Can't wait to see how this story finally ends!

I've read many of King's other books as well, including Cell and Everything's Eventual, most recently before The Dark Tower took over my reading time.

Awesome! It will consume you!! That actually why I didn't start 7 yet. I know I won't do much but read it.

Don't miss the graphic novels of The Dark Tower series, his short stories or earlier works under the Bachman name. :)

Graphic novels?! Oh ho, I'm intrigued now :)

I'm over halfway through with book 7, I want to keep reading and reading but I don't want it to end either so I keep taking breaks, lol.

Finally finished book 7. Without giving any spoilers away, I can understand why a lot of people may have been unhappy with his ending, but like King wrote in his Author's Note, it was the right ending. Now I hear he's going to write another one, so that should be interesting. I also need to look for those graphic novels as well.

I started reading King in like middle school and became a huge fan of his work, Dark Tower series is by far my favorite. The comic prequels have been pretty good too so far ( I haven't finished them) I own most of his books and managed to snag several first editions of his older works. Sadly I haven't been able to make myself read his newer works. They just sit on the shelves and when I want a book to read I always choose something else =/ I don't know why, but just not feeling it right now. Maybe I read books with more action than horror/suspense and that makes it hard to go back to King. I did read his son's (Joe Hill) first novel and it was pretty good.
