Hi!
If you're reading this, you've noticed the lack of a real title due to late-night inability to think!
Anyway, my name is Liz (Hiiiii Liiiizzzz), and I'm a fresh new recruit to PMS! /crowdcheer
Though I may be new here, I'm not new at all to gaming. I started WAAAY back when in the early 90s with my first console, my Sega Genesis (which I still have somewhere..). The first games I liked were the Sonic series of games, and I think SOH2 was the first one I ever beat. I remember playing some baseball game (MLB '95?) on the Genesis with my dad, who probably helped foster my love of all things digital. My best friend and I would go to each other's houses to learn music related stuff and play games, he had the SNES.
Next was the N64 and PSone. Both of which are also around here. Somewhere. Crash Bandicoot was a big favorite (not so much anymore, sadly), and my best friend and I fell in love with LOZ:OOT. We learned all the songs on our respective instruments, and I still remember them. MM came out ON my 12th birthday (Gawd, I'm old), and that is easily my favorite of the LOZ series.
PC was for a bit after that: Baldur's Gate (1&2!) Icewind Dale, and NWN. All those are still around...somewhere...
Xbox was next; Halo came with it. I was floored, impressed, ahh, the memories. I put it back somewhere in my mind that I'd work on games like that someday. The Suffering, Halo 2..and then, I got Half Life 2 Deluxe for Xmas 2004. I opened it up, installed everything, and started to play Counter-Strike.
To this day, I've yet to play Half-Life. Faaaaaiiiill!
I started playing competitively, and bounced around through a few different clans/teams. I settled home with NYCFF, and though CAL-O and the team have (mostly) dissolved, a lot of us have stayed in touch. I left CS:S in 2007, and didn't go back to online games until I got sucked into the fiend that is World of Warcraft. FOR THE HORDE (and proud of it, too)!
WoW was my main game up until my son was born, and then again till early this year. His name is Toby, and he's a helluva good looking kid, gets it from me /proud. I'll post a pic or two.
After Toby was born, I decided to go back to school. So I started my A.S. in Computer Science in 8/09. I want to learn more about AI, and probably make some of the bad guys or NPCs!
I stopped playing WoW due to financial reasons; I quit my job in Dec., but it's quite fine. If you're familiar with Street Sweeper Social Club (and if you aren't, please do so) "The Oath" kinda explains my last day there. I played it, too, in a law office no less. Ahh, good times. :D
I got MW2 as a birthday gift from a guildie, and got Xbox Live to go with it. Then, I decided to finally play Halo online. I was going to go back to CAL but it was gone. I was so saddened by it. Which is why I'm here.
I'm also a musician (part-time!), and working on a super seekrit project known only as ampersand. Our twitter is @ampersand_nyc but I don't get to it as often as I'd like. Fav bands of the moment include NIN, How To Destroy Angels, Celldweller, SSSC and Muse. I also like to write, and have been told I've got a decent speaking voice.
I'm (slightly) political, and I'm actually a member of the Pirate Party. I make the most liberal Democrats look like well, the Far, Far Right.
I'm on twitter, and I update a lot.
So yeah, that's all I can think of. How are you all? ;D
