I was wondering cause I do and its because its Blu-ray and its suppose to have better quality (which it does/some). Does anyone else buy it also cause its Blu-ray and you want to own a blu-ray anime dvd, so when you sometimes look at it you say to yourself "I have a Blu-ray DVD." Is this kinda weird?

well so far ive only bought 2 Blue-Ray disc of the Knights of the Zodiac (Saint Seiya): Lost Canvas series but i stopped cause it seems pointless to buy 1 disc at a time that contains 2 episodes and they are in japanese and i got to keep using subtitles. ill just wait for the Blue Ray Dubs later.

I do, but only if it's worth it. If the HD quality is not up-to-par, and is hardly much of a difference from DVD quality, it's not worth getting on blu-ray.
Also, I justify if the price is a good value for what I'm getting. If I pay $30 for a blu-ray disc, and I only get 5 episodes on it, I'd feel ripped off. Although there are a few exception to this rule; and that is if it has the most amazing HD visuals, or if it's a mini-series of some sort.
