Is CoH still around? I played for the first few months, but didn't last for personal reasons. It's not a bad game, dunno if it's something I'd go back to or not (assuming you can tear me away from css or final fantasy)

haha yeah its still there, Im reactivating my account soon to have something to keep me busy late at night/off time from wow. Plus I love comics soo. YEah if do play I have a lvl 25 Scrapper on Infinity, name....CajunBouncer of course :D

Ok well my account is up and running again....25 Scrapper on Infinity...named strangely enough Cajunbouncer. If ya wanna play Im there, but I am still mostly dedicated to my Duties on WoW, so when I can I will be playing CoH...just dunno how often(really Whiisper, did you think I was leaving u guys again :P )

Personally I think City of Villains > City of Heroes. I'm more of the person who would play an evil character rather than a good character. Plus, the customization and design of CoV is far better than CoH in my opinion.

i used to play coh, cov and wow but when it got into satanic sheet and demonic stuff i quit the games and shall never play them again

I really think there should be a CoH division.(yes I play WoW and no Whiisper I wouldnt leave you ;) But I thnk it would be cool. Its a really great game....unlike Guild Wars but thats not the point lol

LOL if guild wars is such a bad game how come so many people buy it lol! But if ur going to compare guild wars to other MMOs u cant just not a MMO for one and its mainly made for pvp which it has the best pvp out there for a RPG.

I used to play City of Heroes and Villains. I loved the myriad costume customization possibilities, and you *didn't* have to wait for some kind of super-ultra-rare drop to complete your ensemble. Of course, my subscription ran out a while ago and I haven't bothered to renew it, partly because of time constraints and university demands, and partly because... eh, I think the whole appeal has worn off on me. I still think that CoH/CoV is one of the better MMORPGs out there! I just can't get especially excited about it anymore.

I still love my characters though, my main's a 50 (martial arts/super reflexes) scrapper called Golden Hopper. I guess hitting the cap was what made me bored. Not much to do once you're at the top :P

Ehh for what it is...Guild Wars is great, I wouldnt say it has the best PvP, and the reason Is ay it is because in GW2 they are using a PvP system modeled a little more like WoWs since its taken off. As far as why so many people buy, well a couple reasons, the biggest being its free to play and second a lot of people feel like its the spiritual Diablo 3. Its basically an online only RPG where towns are glorified chat rooms and trade centers, which is great i just dont feel with GAmes like CoV/CoH. WoW, EQ2, and now Tabula Rasa its fair to even caompare. Kinda like DS vs PSP the PSP seems like it should be dominating but because of silly choices and lack of true support it fails. Not saying GW totally fails but it lacks in so many departments. I ahvent played CoH or CoV in some time but Im on infinity server CajunBouncer will be reactivateing soon to check new things out. But I still play CoD 4 and WoW so much more :D

Yay another fan of Infinity server, i got a couple 50's there join me sometime i have few ranging from 12-40 on heroes, and villains both.

Can't really make any arguments for or against Guild Wars, seeing as how I've never played it. But by your line of logic, that would make drugs awesome (lots of people buy cigs! lawls!), and resorting to violence acceptable (lots of people resort to violence! lawls!). I don't mind if someone thinks Guild Wars is a lot better at PvP than City of Heroes, but please *please* do not make "everyone does/buys/watches it!" a basis for any argument. Everyone has their own tastes or perspectives and they aren't always shared.

i've always wanted to try CoH and CoV, but never enough to pay for the game, and then a subscription for a month or so. it was easy to get into WoW cuz the game was free, and friends could give out trial subscriptions...genius...

In all my history with WoW it was never free, what planet do you live on, if it's free there then let me know how you didn't have to pay to play.

As far as i know the only one like that is Guild Wars, no monthly fees but then again they don't give out trials anymore, not since it became free.

Which has been about 2 & a half years or so now, i played WoW at that time, which is also why i stopped playing then took up time on CoH, & GW more.

no i meant the actual game itself, not the subscription, you could use your friends game discs, or pay $2 to get it all on one dvd, i'm pretty sure CoH (at least when i wanted to play it) made you pay for the discs, then also a subscription.

Ummm negative like almost every other MMO out there CoH/CoV comes with 30 days free. And now that you can buy the CoH/CoV Good vs Evil pack for last I checked 30 bucks its a really good deal for 2 seperate yet combined games. CoH and CoV did a lot of things better than WoW and never took itself too seriosuly...which made it great...and to date the only real competitor to WoW in terms of longevity and players. As soon as I get PC running right I will be reactivateing my CoH account...I miss it like crazy!!!!!
